This looks better than TFA, which was underwhelming.
In any case the director is good friends with John Darnielle of the Mountain Goats, and when he heard Rian was directing, he wrote a theme song that Rian said was canon:

Luke Skywalker will act retarded for the entirety of the movie, slowly repeating back what's said to him and occasionally stirring at various call backs to the original movies. Fans are gonna love it

Geek question: if a Jedi like Yoda could move massive objects with the force, why couldn't he go in to combat weildinging a shiatload of flying lightsabers? That would be epic!

Moving multiple things at once seems like it'd take way more concentration than moving just one big thing. It would also be kinda ridiculous. They've done that in a few of the video games and I've never not found it to be absurdly silly.

As for the trailer, this is the most adorable thing in the history of the universe and I need one:

The real answer is that it would be hard as hell to animate and not look ridiculous and/or stupid. Some EU characters have done it, or say Tartakovsky's Greivous, (physically) wielding up to four sabers in a non-lame fashion unlike his movie counterpart. Novel Yoda didn't even struggle when lifting the X-Wing. He did so while admonishing Luke without even so much as looking at it.

/He also tried to kill him repeatedly. Almost succeeded but R2 kept reviving him

I'm not positive, but I believe a universal rule to follow is this: If it's small, and has small, sharp teeth, then it will bite the ever loving shiat out of your hand/fingers.

Sure, it's cute now, but in a second it's gonna get mean, and it's gonna get ugly somehow, and there's gonna be a million more of them.

"Only a human girl person."

I really liked this not-a-trailer until it became clear they did not do the right thing and kill off Darth Whiner off-screen in between installments as anyone with any sense would have done.  So another nice effort ruined by the same bad character with worse acting.  How about actually having a villain again...

I actually really like that the Darth Vader analog for the new trilogy is literally a Darth Vader wannabe who thinks he's much more badass than he actually is. I find him entertainingly unlikable, and seeing Rey kick his ass at the end of the movie was immensely satisfying. He's trained with a lightsaber, and murdered people with a lightsaber, so he thinks that means he can take on anyone. Then he goes up against someone who's never handled a lightsaber before in her life, but she has been in plenty of fights and she wrecks his shiat, I loved it. I expect (and hope) that they'll give him some development and make him more of a threat from here on.
