Well, at least the relevant box was there. He lied on the form, and that box proves it.

I agree.  He is such a contemptible jackass.  Though I'd go with him getting burned as he leaps for the CSA engraved ring when it is going down at Mt. Doom.

Correction. At the worst, it's a felony. At the least, he should be forced to resign and lose his security clearance.

But as fusillade762 stated, nothing will happen until congress flips on Trump.

He claims that they were all for Senate business and therefore exempt from disclosing on his  SF-86, which is the same thing he said when he was accused of perjury. The meetings with Kislyak have been confirmed to have happened at presidental campaign events with travel and accommodation paid for out of campaign money and other Senators have confirmed that there was no Senate business involving Kislyak's input, but that has been Sessions' position on why he didn't need to disclose them and he's still maintaining that he will not update the form out of concerns for his personal privacy.

So conspiracy laws violate your right to free speech, and security background checks violate your right to privacy.  Aiding and accessory laws probably violate your right to freedom of association.  And "attempted X" laws violate your rights since you never got around to doing anything illegal.  What huge chunk of the law are they going to redefine next?

having been interviewed for a co-workers they ask you all sorts of intimidating questions about the person

a lot of Patriotism stuff which is kind of jarring as you don't generally hear people question others loyalty to america on a daily basis. plus its an agent doing the interview and they have a very direct style in my experience. but they talk to family and friends neighbors etc depending on the clearance. my dad use to do interviews back in the day as well

2017-07-13 08:43:10 PM
As much as I despise Jeff Sessions, this item in particular really is a non-issue. I've filled out the SF-86 for my own clearance multiple times, and that thing is a long ass biatch. The foreign contacts section doesn't require you to list every foreign person you meet, only people you have "close and/or continuing contact with a foreign national within the last seven(7) years with whom you, or your spouse, or cohabitant are bound by affection, influence, common interests,and/or obligation?"

Anything directly related to government business doesn't count. Also, a few social meetings don't really fit the criteria. I don't recall any questions directly asking if you are colluding with foreign powers in the SF-86, so leaving that section blank is probably within bounds even for a senator.

Hillary has spent the last three decades trying to give people healthcare and job training.  Even if she is corrupt, she's still trying to do her job.

These people aren't even pretending to do the job.  At all.  No pretence anymore.  And why should they pretend?  Rubes vote for them anyway.

It would be awesome if I could go into my job, declare myself a republican, then sit back and get paid for doing nothing.
