As bad as they are, the problems are all at the top.  Donald Trump wouldn't even make the top 50 best presidents in US history, that's how bad he is.

And before someone says something:  yes, I know, that's the joke.

Right the ship? What, are they on a cruise?

I'm no big fan of Carson, but dealing with Trump ought to be right up his alley.

Maybe he can fix Trump's broken brain.

As the subby, I humbly request that anyone interested in the stability and status of our nation: 1) Sign the petition (because it's not in Russian), 2) Send the link to other people and post it all over, and 3) Ask others to also sign.  -  v/r Subby

Subby must be a loyal TF. S/he should have gone to Kos or Reddit first.

Too bad he was black, so automatically had to lead the department with the word "urban" in the title...

The media has to cover the President. But they don't have to cover the pet projects of Congress. They don't have to interview Congressmen or have them on pundit panels. They don't have to publicize Sen. Mike Lee's new book. Maybe icing out Congress is the only way to let Trump know that his bullshiat has to end.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that subby was the subby of the actual petition as well.

These people weren't appointed to "right the ship" they were appointed to sink it.

2017-07-03 05:17:13 PM
Yes, I was the subby of the petition as well. If this goes viral, nice, and if not, oh well. Still, at this point, any small act that says "this is not a normal government" is probably worthwhile. Also, please vote (early and often).

They were hired by Trump specifically to sink the ship. What makes you think they would even consider righting the ship, even if that petition got a quarter billion signatures?

2017-07-03 05:27:13 PM
Ben "pyramids are grain silos" Carson is going to right this ship? Yeah sure, as soon as he is done smoking PCP with Patty Hearst.

2017-07-03 05:28:12 PM
Ben Carson's too preoccupied building low-income housing out of popsicle sticks to be disturbed, and somebody has Betsy DeVos chasing a laser pointer so she's out as well.

Wilbur Ross gets prepubescent blood transfusions 23 hours daily, giving him a medical excuse. Tillerson would say something but his 12 year-old White House handler told him not to. Rick Perry couldn't figure out how to get an outside line from his office, and Elaine Chao has a rare disease you get from farking a turtle -- another medical no-go.

It's tempting to want to get rid of Trump in whatever (legal) way is possible, but the 25th Amendment isn't the answer.  The 25th is for when the President becomes unable to perform the duties of the POTUS for medical reasons, not for when everyone realizes that they've elected an imbecile.

I don't see how rich grifters put in place by other rich grifters with the opportunity to grift even further are going to be eager to sign away their own jobs.

This is an entire administration that is designed to f*ck up government at all levels and enrich Donald Trump. You may as well circulate a petition asking deer ticks to stop biting us.

There is one great effect of electing Trump: I've always loved the word "imbecile" and I'm very happy to see its usage expanding of late.

Dementia is a medical condition, and malignant narcissism is a recognized psychological disorder. There's also an argument for debilitating obesity.

Good luck. Don't wear yourselves out before 2018.

This is going to be as effective as the whole "Hamilton Electors" thing was, and that was just embarrassing.

Every man who thinks he should be elected President has malignant narcissism.

To be fair, while Trump is awful and should go down in history as something we should all be ashamed of, I'm not sure I'd categorize him as one of the worst presidents. At least, not yet.

I mean yeah, like I said, he's a national embarrassment, but he's not (in)directly responsible for 9,000+ American deaths, the sinking of an entire American city, multiple 10+ year-long wars, and the biggest recession since the Great Depression. So far, Trump's saving grace is that hes too inept to even be a inherently bad president.

You are making the assumption that there will be more than 45 presidents.  I would not make such assumptions.

And they're locking the passengers down in the lower decks while they each take a lifeboat.

Every new Republican presidential candidate since Eisenhower, other than Bush Sr. somehow, has been worse than the last guy. They'll find a way.

I'm surprised this petition website is still up. It was set up during the Obama administration and as we have seen, Trump has been all for getting rid of systems set up by Obama. This would be an easy kill for Trump because there is no regulation behind this website. There is no law or executive order that says the White House has to respond to any of these petitions. It all started on good faith that the White House would respond and as is also evident, this White House has no good faith.

The "Brinf Back Firefly" petition was more useful.

I assumed it was referring to the USS Constitution.
