Pocari Sweat is the nectar of the gods and I'll stab a motherfarker who says otherwise.

Oh. Oh, I see. Carry on, I guess.

I'm pretty sure McDonald's found out how to sell old fermented milkshakes.

Hey boss, you know that truckload of milkshake mix we accidentally left in the sun for a week?

Calpis/Calpico's great, especially mango flavor. I'd like to try the milkshake.
Wish we could get more yogurt drinks in the USA. I miss Yogofresh

When I was in college ~15 years ago I dated a Japanese exchange student.
I visited her in Japan after she moved back.  We were walking down the street and I was excited to see a real Japanese vending machine stocked with wacky Japanese drinks.

I saw the Pocari Sweat and wanted to try it, because of course I had to know what the sweat of a Pocari tasted like.  I asked her what it tasted like, and she told me "Calpis".

I had only been there for a day or 2, and hadn't heard of Calpis yet.  So I thought she was saying "cow piss" which was an awfully weird thing for her to say ever, much less in the context of what a drink tastes like.

I asked her to repeat herself a few times, and then gave up and tried it.  It was really good. When I finally saw Calpis, I finally understood what she was trying to tell me.  I tried it, and she was right.  They do have a similar taste.

Yeah, there's a good reason that Calpis is rebranded "Calpico" here in the States.

So Calpis is a milk-flavored beverage. Very clever of McDonald's to try a milk-flavored shake.

Personally I prefer CC Lemon, and I think that would make for a fine slushy drink at McDonald's too.
