If you're going to be a criminal, might as well do it with style.
2004-05-21 10:47:21 AM
It's spelt "luxury yacht", but pronounced "wobbler mangrove".

2004-05-21 12:45:49 PM
"spelt", "spelled", who cares.
2004-05-21 01:20:34 PM
Spelt is the exhaustion one experiences after experiencing the big-O with a smelt.
2004-05-21 01:37:59 PM
Damn you, albert71292, beat me to it!
2004-05-21 01:38:54 PM

Smelt, hell! I prefer red snapper anytime :)
2004-05-21 01:45:51 PM
I wouldn't let that commie knob-nibbler chew on my sacred man-pole if it were the last fish on earth.
2004-05-21 02:15:26 PM
Actually, thats "throat wobbler mangrove."

/not so obscure apparently
2004-05-21 02:41:12 PM
Hehe, second story in as many days about the crimes of the Greedy Poor. Why don't we hear about them as much as the Greedy Rich? They seem to commit the same volume of crimes...

2004-05-21 02:42:13 PM
Elmer J Fudd??
2004-05-21 02:43:57 PM
You're all wrong. It's "Throatwarbler Mangrove".
2004-05-21 02:44:22 PM
Was it a Periwinkle Blue caravan he lived in?
2004-05-21 02:44:31 PM
Smelt is pronounced SHMELT, btw.
2004-05-21 02:44:56 PM
Sure "daughter".... By the way, was the suspect's name "Capt. Stabbin"?

/ashamed I know about this.
2004-05-21 02:45:35 PM

"The would-be sailor, a 53-year-old Scottish-Canadian who lived in a caravan in western Ireland..."

God, I hate seafarin' pikeys.
Or is this the Irish version of someone living in a van down by the river ?

2004-05-21 02:45:47 PM
So the Scottish-Canadian living in Ireland stole a yacht to go to England.

Commonwealthmania runnin' WILD on you!
2004-05-21 02:47:21 PM
Re: Scottish-Canadian living in Ireland...

Um, you think alcohol was involved?

"If I could work my will, every idiot who goes about with 'Greedy Rich' on his lips, should be boiled with his own pudding, and buried with a stake of holly through his heart."

Would have been more believable if the Scottish-Canadian had stolen the yacht so he could get some Molson's. And he probably chose the yacht over the airline so he wouldn't have to stand in line like a cow being led to slaughter. Scottish-Canadian = high class.
2004-05-21 02:50:53 PM
HUH? "luxury" yacht?

86,000 euros don't get you a yacht, it can get you a nice speedboat for skiing. But a yacht will set you back at least a mil or two.

The would-be sailor, a 53-year-old Scottish-Canadian who lived in a caravan BY THE RIVER
2004-05-21 02:53:37 PM

The would-be sailor, a 53-year-old Scottish-Canadian, meet your new room-mate.
2004-05-21 02:53:45 PM
Sure "daughter".... By the way, was the suspect's name "Capt. Stabbin"?

/whew, so I'm not alone on this one.
2004-05-21 02:53:47 PM
Also familiar with Capatin Stabbin.

...also slightly ashamed.
2004-05-21 02:55:29 PM
If my memory serves me correctly, doesn't Capt. Stabbin' have a striking resemblance to Joe Pesci?
2004-05-21 02:55:53 PM
Sounds like a job for.... KNIGHT BOAT! THe Crime Solving Boat!

"Every week there's a canal!"
"Or an inlet..."
"Or a fjord..."
2004-05-21 02:56:20 PM
The court sentenced him to 14 months in jail on Thursday.

Maybe he can steal the warden's car to see her next time.
2004-05-21 02:56:35 PM
CAPTAIN STABBIN - Join his life on the ocean waves?
2004-05-21 02:57:40 PM
a Scottish-Canadian?

It wasn't me.

However, I accept no responsibility for any family members.

At any time. Ever.
2004-05-21 02:59:57 PM
I believe it's "Captain Stabbin's Anal Adventures on the Open Sea"

I love what passes for 'novelty' in porn.

"See, it's this guy, right, and he pays chicks to have sex with him on camera... ON A BOAT!"
2004-05-21 03:01:32 PM

If my memory serves me correctly, doesn't Capt. Stabbin' have a striking resemblance to Joe Pesci?

I dunno, but his buddy looks just like the guy from MILF Hunter! (and many other sites...)

/career perv

I'm ashamed too. But the love boat wasn't that bad of a show. BTW it was Captain Stubing I think.

2004-05-21 03:06:45 PM
Smelt, hell! I prefer red snapper anytime :)

/vewy tasty fish
2004-05-21 03:08:21 PM
Red snappah, aaaahhhh very tasty.

2004-05-21 03:08:35 PM
"I'm ashamed too. But the love boat wasn't that bad of a show...."

-Oh YES it was! Don't let nostalgia fool ya!
2004-05-21 03:11:24 PM
We're most definitely not talking Love Boat here...honest.

And despite my previous comment being deleted, I still insist I can't spell.
2004-05-21 03:15:39 PM
Heck, I only comment on the Cap'n 'cause EVERYBODY beat me to the Raymond Luxury-Yacht reference.

(For years now, I thought it was Desmond.)
2004-05-21 03:16:18 PM
Well it is a love boat of sorts.....

2004-05-21 03:31:25 PM
cuppycake - I wish I knew more women who considered stuff like that "love."

Make that any women.
2004-05-21 03:50:41 PM
Where's that quote from yesterday?

Oh yeah here it is from that sex blog:

"A man who tries to fark you in the ass when you are sober does not love you."

FWIW maybe the captain does love them and got those girls drunk first.
2004-05-21 03:59:16 PM
"scottish canadian"?

what on earth are those?
2004-05-21 03:59:23 PM
A photo of the suspect was released:

2004-05-21 04:01:43 PM

Agreed, 56k is just a run about, but even at a 1mil in terms of mega-yachts that about the cost of 3 fill-ups).
2004-05-21 04:12:36 PM
Drunk or sober doesn't change the results for me, cuppycake!

Maybe I should invest in a yacht...
2004-05-21 04:42:55 PM
Go to Coolwoodies.com- search up DooDad. that's my runabout. set me back a whopping four grand. don't let
anybody tell you you gotta spend that much for a really cool and very fast runabout.
