2002-01-10 08:54:48 AM
Here here! I second that!

They are going to see how long gay men can handle getting lap dances in heterosexual strip clubs.

Queer Factor!

2002-01-10 08:58:52 AM

"If comfort shows were important, two shows on our air - Providence and Ed - would be killing everybody," he said.

If those are considered "comfort shows" I'm surprised more people haven't been killed.

"smart, upscale, urban comedies"

Great, that's what we need... some more yuppie comedy. Can the networks not find a writer capable of writing anything other that yuppie and/or "black" comedy?

Korzeniowski: "rub the clitoris, sir?"

They also say they're creating a sketch comedy show hosted by Colin Quinn.

That will last approximately one week, if there is any justice in the world. I HATE that guy. Bring on the boobies!

to hell with crap sitcoms - I wish someone would revive Police Squad!

the best tv show ever made
2002-01-10 09:06:46 AM
How Misleading, I Onject! I don't see boobies. Where's the boobies dammit?
2002-01-10 09:07:46 AM
about your beloved Poilce Squad, sorry to inform you of a little show called the Simpsons. That show is the greatest thing humans have ever created.
2002-01-10 09:09:49 AM

"NBC currently has no children as regular characters in its prime-time lineup, although Jennifer Aniston's Rachel on Friends will soon have a baby - out of wedlock."

Oh heaven forbid she not marry that whiny, nasally, dinosaur geek!! Whassup with Fox? Why did they havta add "out of wedlock" are we supposed to gasp or something?
2002-01-10 09:24:25 AM
They need to bring back the Upright Citizens Brigade.
2002-01-10 09:32:22 AM

2002-01-10 10:11:56 AM
It's a shame that Ed isn't doing terrific in the ratings. It is a fantastic show. Last night's episode was great.
2002-01-10 10:17:18 AM
That link sucked. Even I was expecting to see boobies......
2002-01-10 10:19:29 AM

I agree - Wednesday is the only night worth watching Prime Time.
2002-01-10 10:20:35 AM
I just realized - this is the year that I officially stopped watching prime-time network TV completely. And without trying.
2002-01-10 10:57:21 AM
There are a few shows worth watching.
Ed is my favorite, but Malcolm in the Middle, Undeclared, Smallville and 24.

I am kinda pissed that they had to put Chris Isaak on at approximately 10:45 on Sunday night on Showtime. I had to do some crazy wiring to tape it because it is on a channel that needs my cable box to watch. And then when you set the tape for 10:45 it gets the end of Queer as Folk(no thanks). They are destroying a great show. If you like Larry Sanders, you will probably like the Chris Isaak show.

Does anyone else see the irony in Fox criticizing any network for too much sex in their programs? The best part of the story was the comment about Rachel having her baby on Friends "out of wedlock." Good god no! From now on all I'm watching is the wholesome family entertainment on Fox!
2002-01-10 11:36:43 AM
Faux news strikes again!
2002-01-10 11:38:08 AM
Fox News displaying some very subtle audience-baiting techniques right here. "We want all you fans of non-biased reporting out there to call into NBC and demand that Friends gets cancelled and that they add a God Bless America all-star revue staring Alan Jackson and Dale Earnhart Jr." Conservative whiners.
2002-01-10 02:12:46 PM
I've always wondered why Fox News can be so conservative, while its entertainment department is anything but.

Police squad and the upright citizen's brigade rock. Their absence makes TV suck.
