I've never seen a pub crawl that was so well organized that they had a bus. If you can't walk (or CRAWL) to the next bar, maybe it's time you call it an evening!

Or Don't fall out of a bus, into the path of an on coming ferrari in the middle of Hyde Park Corner, as i did on a recent monopoly board crawl.

I am actually a URI student myself. This kind of stuff happens all the time. Since it is a dry campus students are forced to go off campus to drink. Usually around finals time a large group of students rent a bus to take them bar hopping. I have never been on one but IMHO it isn't a bad idea. Keep 'em from driving in that condition.

I grew up in a small town that had 9 pubs down the high street (about half a mile).
2 drink minimum per pub,
20 minute max stay per pub.

I think if I tried that now getting hit by a bus would be a relief!

The_Drunken_Clam: it happened where lower Thames meets the first wharf, I forget the name but it's where Christie's is, past the Red Parrot, if you're familiar with the area. I live in the first apartment on Brewer, so if I was paying attention I could've looked out the window and seen it.

Thames doesn't meet lower Thames, Memorial Drive/America's Cup and the post office are in the way.

Actually, I heard it was right in front of the Rhino bar. I was at the bay club about 30 minutes before it happened and there were already 2 patrol cars and 4 foot cops there so I really can't see quite how this happened. Will ask friend who works at Bay Club and let you know...um if anyone cares.

Hey guys I signed up just to give you a Fairfield students perspective (and because I'm a long time reader).

First of all this was agreat kid with a bright future in front of him. He was a eucharistic minister and his class valedictorian and in general a good looking well mannered young kid. So its not as funny as it seems that his head was crushed by a bus at age 21.

Secondly if the URI kids pushed him it would make him the third fairfield kid this year to be attacked and the second to die. Another of our students was shot repeatedly in New York and died.

The kid who lived two doors down from me got his head beat in with a crowbar in Bridgeport (not in a fight -Ive got more info on that if you want it) and now this kid gets his shiat ruined by a bus - im beginning to think my school is farking cursed."
