We don't have enough 'hilarity ensues' headlines anymore, not since Nov 9th last year.

Pretty sure this is how you shut down bigots.

That made me tear up a bit. Beautiful.

Yeah, Romans 1. Farking Paul. I swear to God if I meet that short Roman punk in the afterlife, I'm going to kick him right in his spirit gonads.

Fox & Friends will report that The Good Christian Protestors will surrounded and threatened by a mob of homo-gays.

Limbaugh and Drudge will pick up and spread some BS about how one of the Christians was assaulted while leaving the event and barely escaped with his life...or at least his virtue.

August11: That made me tear up a bit. Beautiful.

Yeah, Romans 1. Farking Paul. I swear to God if I meet that short Roman punk in the afterlife, I'm going to kick him right in his spirit gonads.

My favorite part about Romans is Paul actually listed a bunch of other sins at the same time he was railing against "unnatural" acts

God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful;

/sounds like someone they voted for perhaps?

I serve the Prince of Peace, friend. Those bigots are no kin of mine... they're actually the reason I don't go to church anymore.

Did you watch to the end of the video, where at least one of the protesters sat down with those they came to protest against? That was kind of cool if you ask me, don't know about you... But I like to see reconciliation.

Actually no one's god commands them to do the evil shiat they claim to do in his/her/their name.  The problem is that there is a middle man.  See what I never understand is that you have to assume that the majority of church goers can read.

So lets say they go atleast 26 sundays a year for their entire life (use 70 years) and church is about 1.5
long.  That's 2,730 hours.  The bible is roughly 1200 pages

I just grabbed my power plant design book from college, it's 900 pages.   So I went three times a week for an hour for a 15 week semester or a total or a total of 45 hours.  I learned pretty much everything about that book and if I had any questions I could just go back and read the parts I was fuzzy on.

WTF do you end up talking about for 2,730 hours?  Are you just on an endless 6 month long loop?

Can't you graduate from church after a year or two and be all "I think I get the jist of it padre...."

WTF is wrong with people?

I will admit something that I am not proud of, but can't deny. In my younger years I was religious and believed homosexuality to be a sin. That being said it would have never occurred to me to gather some of my religious friends and go to a place where I knew gay people would be collecting and protest them or whatever the hell the people in the video are doing. When I was a believer I believed gays were sinners but we all were and their sins were no better or worse than my own. These people are just assholes.

/I have learned much since then

God doesn't, but some crazed preachers do.  The last I checked, Jesus' blood was powerful enough to redeem all sins, including homosexuality.  Christians should not encourage or support homosexual lifestyle choices, but neither should we spew hate at homosexuals.  Just like those tempted by pedophilia, it is our place to offer compassionate support for them to overcome their own temptations.

I used to work with a guy who would go down to New Orleans during Mardis Gras so he could stand with some dipshiat "You are damned" or similar signs.  Combine that with him being one of the laziest, most unproductive, slimy workers I've ever met and you can probably imagine the respect I have for him.

Pedophilia is a crime. Homosexuality is not.

Church isn't about learning the Bible's message any more than a visit to the symphony is about learning to compose music.  Church services are for paying your respects to God in worship and song while hearing an inspirational message from the preacher.

But it's a free country and a free market, that's the good thing about living in a free country, the gov'mnt can't be tellin us way we can and cannot do.  If I needs me a loan I can just get me's one, even after 1500% interest.  Gov'mnt can't stop dat.  But, what goes on between the sheets, now dats sumthin the gov'mnt needs to regulate!
