I can't tell you how many fatal shootings I had in my C64.  Usually it was dysentery, but shootings weren't uncommon.

I sometimes felt like shooting my Commodore.  But once I calmed down, I just unscrewed the back, lifted the keyboard and blew all the dust out and it worked like a champ.

Perhaps they should have been willin' to use their little feat to head of to Tucson or Tucumcari, but I guess they didn't take enough time after the weed, whites and wine.

Lantz shot Davis between his chest and arm. I believe that would be the shoulder, although it's been a while since I passed kindergarten so I might be a bit rusty on the details.

Since when have "journalists" not been required to pass high school English?

Commodore, PA is a rural town where the main source of employment used to be coal mining.  Now it's pretty much like most rural ex-coal mining towns. the people who are left are pretty much impoverished inked-up, tweaking morans who get into gun fights because somebody's pitbull dug up somebody's weed patch.

Thanks, Obama!

How do you know that's not how it all went down? Cops decide to run from the scene, but ran into a wall or something. At that point they were left with no choice but to arrest the dude.

The portable is the SX-64 (C64 portable), and the PC-styled one is the Commdore PC20 (PC-compatible clone).

Wow, thanks.  Have no memory at all of a portable C64 or that Commodore tried a PC compatible thing.
Their best moments were the 64 and the Amiga (though I learned BASIC 1,000 years ago on a 'PET' -- which is what the high school computer labs had).

Yeah, both Commodore and Atari tried their hands at portables and PC-compatibles.  With Atari, it was the STacy laptop for the portable, and the PC-1 and PC-5 for the clones.  Atari had a bit more success with the STacy than Commodore did with the SX-64, mainly because the STacy was an ideal portable MIDI workstation for musicians (built-in MIDI like all Atari 16- and 32-bit systems) and had a much bigger screen than the SX-64, which, for its part, didn't really have a clear market.  Commodore and Atari's PC-clones were both utter flops, though.  Way too crowded a market for vanilla clones that didn't do anything special.

No love for the VIC-20 or the other Amiga models?

VIC-20 love? I would say no, none whatsoever. :)

Though I can't really make fun of it.  My first home computer was a Timex Sinclair ZX-81 with the mighty 3K 'Expander Pack' of RAM on the back.   Had it 3 weeks then returned it and got a Commodore 64 that I used for 9 years (late years of public school / high school / first year university).

Amiga: I honestly don't recall the varieties of Amiga models, as I was too poor to even consider owning one.   My friend had one and I remember being blown away by the visuals of  'Defender of the Crown' and being obsessed over 'Empire: Wargame of the Century'.   That and all the 'Babylon 5' visuals were apparently done on an Amiga.
