I used to eat yellow paper-wasp larvae when I was a kid, since they tended to lay their eggs in grapes. Nice, crunchy, tangy and sweet. Delicious!

Also, fun fact: I almost never get stung, and have been able to tame nests of them. It's not hard, just bribe them with sugar water, honey or molasses first thing in the Spring and they'll love ya. Just don't make them feel threatened and you can literally sit next to a nest of them with a beer and they don't bother you at all.

Other, annoying humans who come over, however.. well, at least they lay off my friends and family. Don't seem to like people who try to swat at them, for some reason. Try to warn them, but when I'm not around..... *shrugs*

It does kinda seem like it, doesn't it? :p But really, no. Just a result of parents who wouldn't let me eat enough, like literally one bowl of cereal on a Saturday, forbidden from eating while the rest of them were out So I'd wander around and eat whatever I could find growing on bushes, fences, trees, basically anywhere I could find something to eat without getting in trouble.

Then I learned how to safely interact with them and since 2000 or so, I *may* have gotten stung three times, total. Also, I think there have been preliminary findings that what you eat when growing up influences your genetics, though I can't remember where I read that.

So basically, half-crazed survivalist who's fortunate enough to live in a two-bedroom apartment with master bathroom. Life deals some of us really shiatty hands, but if you keep your eyes open for opportunities, it can and does make up for it. Sometimes.

Most people have ridiculous over reactions to wasps and bees.  The vast majority of them are not aggressive and as long as you're not swatting at them they really don't care if you're there or not.

Man, that's hardcore.

2 Down Votes on an RT link? We can do better than that.

BTW, I only use the banned image of Putin the murderer because people get disappeared in Russia for using this gay image of Putin. I figure it's a wash. Pooty is afraid of the ghey, he murders and imprisons people who call him gay...

Over 1000 in the last few minutes. I guess RT gets more money for more clicks.

I understood one word at least:  proteina!

I could probably have followed much more of what he said if I listened more carefully. But proteina is funny enough to serve as a punch line.
