Well, Trump's lawyer threw himself in the shredder and Wallace offered him a hand out of it and the guy flipped the ON switch and yelled, "Fark you, Chris!"

This guy is a political hire, they probably were under pressure to put him on DOJ and offered him this instead.

He's not a part of a real legal defense team. At least I would hope not.

Got to love his strategy of talking faster, louder, and more aggressively whenever he gets challenged on facts.  Makes you wonder if he's ever been in a courtroom or if he just sends threatening letters all day. Contradicting yourself on the record isn't a winning strategy.  "Court reporter, please read back counsel's words..."

So we are clear.

First he denied trump was under investigation.
Then, ~90 seconds later he said Trump was under investigation.
Then, ~30 seconds later he denied saying that.
Then, he accused former FBI dir. James Comey of violating attorney client privilege.   TWICE
Then, he said Donald Trump was acting within his powers as laid out by article 1 of the constitution.   Article 1 deals with Congress.  Article 2 deals with the president.

This was all in under 5 minutes.

The man has a phd in law history as well as a jd. So he really should know better.  The problem is his phd is from Regent University which is a good Christian university which proabley explains why he finds shiat in the constitution that isn't there. Same as Liberty grads.

Beautifully done..

I wish I could find the thread. Someone was talking about the difference between the lawyers Mueller has brought on versus Trump's legal team and one of the questions raised about a member of Trump's team was along the lines of "are you serious? What's he going to do, talk them to death?" The reason I want to find the thread is to know if that was about Sekulow, because if so, it was perfect.

Don't hate to admit it. That undermines your argument. Simply say, "I'm impressed by the number of Trump people who have apparently mastered quantum theory."  Let the smarts and funnies flow from there. Don't set people up for the joke. If they don't get it, f'em.

The way I predicted Trump would fall would be that his supporters, seeing that he would discredit them, or endanger their chances at reelection, or impugn profits, would throw his ass under the bus in a heartbeat.  I predicted they'd turn on him, en-masse.

Maybe this is the start.  If we're lucky.

Maybe.

Ah, Chris Wallace. A ridiculously biased hack, but he's loyal to his political philosophy, not a political party. And that's what passes for honorable on Fox News.

This is why no one in their right goddamned minds wants to work for Drumpf.

He might hire you to perform a specific function, but that's secondary. If you work for Trump, you are first and foremost required to suck his proverbial and probably literal dick.

This twit knows Trump is under investigation, and only faltered because Trump probably ordered him to say that he's not.  Just like he ordered Snekretary to say Covfefe is a thing. Or how pretty much his surrogates lay out a specific agenda and Trump will tweet his support for the exact opposite.

He has a point that legislative oversight is toothless.  Congress needs to be able to haul Executive branch people before committees and waterboard them until they talk.

Did Obama even hire a private lawyer during his time as president?  He was a lawyer himself; the only reason I can imagine him retaining separate counsel is if he needed representation.
