They have junkyards piled up with humans crushed and in pieces, and if they need to find an old human part, they can go there and pull what they need.

There was a theory that all of the Pixar movies fit into the same universe.

Cars is one Pixar movie I have never really had a desire to watch. It is sort of dumb, condescending, populist and utterly nonsensical. It is like they made it for Trumpers or Republicans or something.

That might explain the apocalyptic elements, come to think of it.

Nostalgia for when Cars Ruled the World. Make Henry Ford Great Again!

There is evidence of humans but fundamentalist cars dispute that.

But science teaches that vast herds of himsns once roamed the Earth.  And then a great apocalypse occurred and eventually their remains were converted to oil.

And one theory holds that the Car World is approching Peak Human and will, one day, rin out of human-based fuels.  But this is a controversial theory.

Actually, it was done that way on purpose. Cars was Pixar's final movie under license from Disney. If the license was not renewed, Pixar wanted to give up the rights to the movie that would not allow for any merchandising or sequels.

And look how well that turned out.

The train that Mcqueen outruns in the beginning has number "A113," the same number as the executive order in "Wall-E.'

It's been a long, boring day.

Pixar figured out what most other movie companies didn't.  The NASCAR crowd has money and they are willing to spend it.

/when you compile everything together from the movie, toys, theme park rides, etc - Cars made more money for Pixar than any other feature.

This. I remember the hype that spanned what seemed to be an endless production time. When it finally came out; it was f*cking terrible.

Cars is the only bad thing I've ever seen come out Pixar and I cannot fathom why it's so popular.

Holy shiat, it's just a farking movie, made to entertain you.  Why anyone feels the need to over analyze something like this is beyond me.  Why don't you figure out how the hell animals can talk to humans in The Chipmonks, or how Aquaman can summon schools of barracudas via telepathy, ferchrissakes.

It's not even just the "NASCAR crowd". Little boys just love cars.

And one thing that has to be understood about a lot of the movie audience is how much of it is there for what might be called the pornographic thrills. They don't go to Star Wars movies to get an interesting story, with action scenes that are part of the narrative. They go just to see people fighting with light sabres. Same with Transformers. Really bad movies. But people just want to watch the Transformers hitting Decepticons. Never mind if the plot makes any sense.

To their credit, Cars and Cars 2 at least have functional plots (and personally, I prefer Cars 2).

A113 is the room number of the animation department at CalArts. It's not limited to Pixar.

That character really only fits in animation. His able to give a voice acting performance that's not dry and horrible like essentially every other famous person trying to do animation. Its a one note character, but he's able to do it like a voice acting pro.

All of this kind of makes me hope Disney decides to do a live-action remake of Cars as they have been for all their other old animated movies.
