He was a terrific basketball player, but no, probably he doesn't care for a bunch of people randomly shouting the name of a progressive lifestyle cable network at him.

I mean, how do you advise the Warriors at this point?  "I think you should keep all the players you have now."

Threadjack:  the 30 for 30 Lakers/Celtics is excellent.  I had no idea Magic was pretty much a whiney douche who got Westhead fired.  I also have a newfound respect for Cedric Maxwell and always thought he was just a bitter, Bird hater

How do think "petty" Magic is going to do with Lavar Ball throwing him under the bus when his son doesn't get a ring in year one.

I'm a Celtics fan but hope that LA is smart enough to pass on Lonzo.  The butt hurt from his idiot father would be extraordinary

I would love to see lavar ball go undrafted and unsigned because of his dad.

The teams do have the right to do that

Well the draft is coming up in a week. Oh wait. They don't have any first or second round picks. Nevermind.

Good for West, if he still enjoys doing it. Hope I make it to 79, let alone still be as active as he seems to be.

Seems weird, since Lonzo is the one in the draft and Lavar IS the annoying dad.

/again, we dont wish for a kid to fail because their dad is an asshole. That's just dumb.
//we wish for him to be super-successful and decide to cut his dad out of everything.

Clippers are the team in Los Angeles right now and for the foreseeable future. This move and the new stadium talk are going to be fantastic moves that hopefully propel the Clippers into many competitive years to come.

Yeah, and as mentioned above the Warriors don't need a large amount of advising at this point but the Clippers are about to need as much as they can get. Are any of their free agents expected to stay at this point?

He'll do better then when Magic threw Paul Westhead under the bus.

So, punish the son (and themselves) because the father is an ass?

Dropping to 4th would be sufficient. Or the Lakers trading the 2nd pick. Wouldn't derail his career at all in either situation and we could all laugh.

That kind of stuff can change on a dime.... forgetting for a moment that both Cp3 and Blake are always within ear-shot of a season-ending injury, the Lakers could exponentially improve with some free agency moves, not to mention their draft pick.   They were relatively dead in the water before they got Shaq, and then they get him and its ring-town USA.   Its a market than no player would mind going to.  They just have to have a direction and put it in place, and bring some excellent players in.

They wrote a check for a pick last year. It could happen.

It probably won't, mind.

The "buzz" is he realizes he's done winning titles and he wants to go to LA to set up his brand.

Ain't karma a biatch?

I understand we're taking different players, different coaches, even different owner now, but for decades the Clippers were entirely indifferent to winning. Thanks to TV and licensing agreements an NBA team could guarantee a profit as long as they didn't spend much on players or coaches.

And surprise! A culture of losing doesn't change overnight.

If the Clippers win a championship in my lifetime I'll be shocked.

The Clippers were doomed from the start.

FFS, they were founded in Buffalo, then started their west coast life in San Diego.

How many titles have Buffalo and San Diego sports teams won, combined?
