Campbell's is nothing but salt and water anymore. A few good soups, but not as good as they used to be.

I like their new "Well, Yes!"  label of soups.

Yeah, I've had a team working on this over the past few weeks, and what we've come up with can be reduced to two fundamental concepts. One: People aren't eating enough soups. Two: Matter is energy. In the universe there are many energy fields which we cannot normally perceive. Some energies have a spiritual source which act upon a person's soul. However, this "soul" does not exist ab initio as orthodox Christianity teaches; it has to be brought into existence by a process of guided self-observation. However, this is rarely achieved owing to man's unique ability to be distracted from spiritual matters by everyday trivia.

Cut the salt in half and double the flavor.  I remember as a kid condensed soup would plop out and keep the shape of the soup can, now it pours out cause it's so watered down.

In other news it's still an $8 bn a year company in terms of revenue. And profitable, although not as much as it used to be. More than what I expected, for sure.

I'm not sure if it's a good indicator that more Americans have better taste now or can afford better food, or that things are so bad that they can't even afford canned soup anymore. Maybe people will switch back from avocado toast to Campbell's soup to save up for a house?

Also, a standard can of soup is 2 servings.

So with progresso, that's 140 calories and 58% RDA of salt.

With Campbell's that's 140 calories and 82% RDA of salt.

// that's a lot of damned salt for so few calories.
