Yeah, Bloom County already covered this just a few days after it happened, since they can put the strip right up on Facebook as soon as it's drawn. Just goes to show you how long it takes for turnaround doing things the old way. Also f*ck Scott Adams.

It was funnier when Dilbert was Elbonian airlines and was duct taped to the wing.

No, Elbonian Air uses slingshots, not airplanes.

I don't understand how a man who makes fun of corporate culture could support their policies unless you are a sociopath who believes the humor in your cartoons is the misfortune that rich people inflict on the poor.

Not that there's anything wrong with this.  The poor have oppressed the rich since the dawn of time.  It's time the rich finally stick it to them.

If you go back and look through the Fark Archives -- or Farkives, for short -- you will find that Scott Adams was universally considered to be the funniest man on the planet.  Not making this up, not doing this for the Reddit upvotes.  Everything he did was comedy gold.  That strip where Dilbert's boss makes a boneheaded decision that impacts his workers was probably the biggest meme in the history of Fark.

But now that a Republican is in office again, and Scott Adams supports his policies, it's kind of like back in the jungle, Fark has looked over the river and they see Scott Adams in the other tribe of apes, making hilarious jokes and being successful, at the expense of the liberals.  He is not one of theirs anymore and it is time for payback.

So Fark will fling the feces in his direction, they will try to tear down Scott Adams, simply because they feel betrayed.  Another rich and successful person, who has proven the stupidity and ignorance of left-wing thought, being rich and successful.  This was the final straw for Fark, and when you are poor and you cannot buy any more straws, you tend to go with the nuclear option.

I thought he aopproached his current mindset via the MRA route.

Worked really hard on that one.

Where do you get that from the cartoon? I'm seeing the same sort of humor Dilbert usually focuses on: Corporate jargon that hides the reality of what the corporation is really doing.

P.S. Syndicated cartoonists often work a month or so in advance. Adams isn't late to the game here; he probably submitted this cartoon right after the United fiasco, since Dilbert usually isn't devoted to commentary on current events.

Just put some "Air Force One" stickers on the plane and give Dilbert a podium and some bushes to hide behind and you've got a scene from sometime in the very near future.

The thing is he's always been like this.  If you read his original books from the 90s there is always a chapter or two at the end where you realize he is completely fark'n delusional.  He just doubled down on this when he started his blog to preach to his cult.

The entire comic is debunked talking points coming from random characters at this point.

It was the "I'm going to support Clinton altho I really want Trump to win because if I don't I'll be killed" thing that finally made me realize that Dilbert no longer needed my attention.  I chucked the books I bought into the recycle bin and have not looked back.

So you're saying the "cartoonist" who styles himself as tech savvy and still brags about his days in the PacTel cube farm is not all that tech savvy?

How horrible you are for noticing that.

He used to be funny.

I liked Dilbert so much that I bought his first book.  Couldn't get half way through it.  Have you tried?

He starts rambling like a crazy person.

Then, years later, he inserted himself into this election environment with a series of equally off-the-rails blogs.  He's a nutter.

I hope that explains it.

Scott Adams predicted Trump's victory,  and for that the left will never forgive him.

So did Michael Moore and Cenk Uygur.  How does the left feel about them?

Scott Adams might disagree with some parts of the liberal worldview and therefore he must be destroyed, his fields salted, and his name expunged from human memory and history.

Well i use to like it, but he's been going way too right wing lately.

Here's a strip from a few days ago i just found browsing TFA, he seems to think human caused global warming is fake.

I seem to recall this Adams dude jumped the shark a while ago when he went MRA (I know, not always an unpopular opinion here.) I remember one of his books from the 90s, and there was a fair bit of "hurr hurr, women must run the world because men are too lazy to organize shiat!".
http://comicsalliance.com/scott-adam-sexist-mens-rights/

His blog is all yay, Trump these days. But most of his blogs have zero comments so I guess nobody gives a shiat about him.
