On a related note,
the pole dances should prove more interesting.

this could totally redefine visits to strip clubs. i personally think it sounds like fun to load up on these new coins, get really high, and then go to the strip club and toss coins at the strippers trying to make them stick. make a game out of it with your friends, see who can make it stick from the furthest distance, etc. i think this is a step in the right direction, now if we can just get this in the US :)

they didn't need magnetic undies,
they're sticky enough.

shouldn't ananova get credit for this?

If the Euro coins are magnetic, won't they rust if they come in contact with moisture?

Does this mean I can now travel Europe with no money but a big magnet to extract coins from fountains?

Dont magnetic fields cause tumors?
The last thing we need is a Euro nast walking around with tumors in her junk.

Guess the more change they receive, they more they'll build up the old pelvic muscles. This could be a good thing for Italians, since their women probably run on the loose side.

So, instead of popping out ping pong balls, will they be sorting out the 2 Euro coins? Now THATS muscle control.

I wasn't making out with her, honey, I swear. The magnet just attracted my wedding ring is all.

Are Euro coins magnetic? I don't think US coins are.

Lemme see, if you put enough coins on the undies, then they should be pulled off by the weight....

Cute story but wont work. Coins (the ones I know of) are made and/or coated with non-ferrous materials and will not stick to common magnets. If they were ferrous then they could rust and tarnish rather quickly. Thus reducing there circulation life.
I know it's just a silly story anyway and not meant to be taken seriously. So I'll leave the jokes to everyone else.

Mattix but only 21 images, even with mature filter off. And they all have neithr magnets or undies.

Canadian coins have been magnetic for as long as i can remember, and i've never seen a rusty one.
perhaps the ferrous core is plated with nickel or something?

Any Canadians, is the Loony [Canadian $1.00 coin] magnetic too? did they do magnetic undies there in Canada to cope with tips?

You can always stick the strippers to the fridge when you're done with them.

Plus, we can always look forward to a story about a man with a steel plate in his head being sucked headfirst into a European stripper's ass. Hilarity ensues.

I think this should be a photoshop contest. Now, if we can find a picture of magnetic undies on a stripper.......

People, iron is not the only thing that sticks to magnets.

In atoms of iron, cobalt, and nickel are ferromagnetic, and are strongly attracted to magnetic poles.

Hydrogen, lithium, and liquid oxygen are paramagnetic substances and are weakly attracted to magnetic poles.

I'm thinking of the interesting twist to the "quarter bounce" drinking game.

2002-01-09 08:44:12 PM
Most strippers wear g-strings - doesnt leave much room for magnetism? Perhaps they'll start wearing boxers?

2002-01-09 11:12:21 PM
they have to "attract" patrons someway

B@byG: In less repressed localities, where artists have full freedom of expression (read: Where the bishes lose the panties), the money is tucked into a garter belt. Likely this could be magnetized, or have little mini-pockets for coins.

Yeah, but what's the magnet for? Wouldn't the coins stick anyway?
