Too bad they killed everyone's interest with the last season.

Can we get the Lone Gunmen back for real this time?

Yeah.....you are correct about that.

/ hate to say that, but it's true.

The only, and I mean ONLY good thing about the last season was Rhys Darby. Apart from that, total  shiatshow.

Darby was and is a pathetic clown, and that episode was by far the worst thing about the series.

Pretty much. I'd been saving the last season on my Tivo to do a rewatch later. Instead, I did a rage-delete of the entire thing after watching the finale.

"Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster" was the only episode I have any interest in possibly seeing again (and I generally lean mythology over monster-of-the-week).

I'm in the same crowd who was largely unimpressed by the last season. If it's all monster-of-the-week then fine, but I stopped caring about the mythos back when Mulder left and the T1000 replaced him.

No thanks. Tired of unfinished plots lines and cliffhangers.

Season wasn't particularly good.  At 6 episodes, they should have done one story arc that slowly pulled Mulder and Scully back into the world of the X-Files.

Glen Morgan and James Wong write better together than apart.
Chris Carter had a decent idea for bringing back Mulder and Scully, but it was over too quick and with the monster of the week episodes in between, felt very disjointed.
Darin Morgan had the only really entertaining episode.

I halfheartedly defended it to a friend who absolutely hated it, since I just enjoyed seeing the cast together again.  Then I had to apologize after that atrocious finale.

It should be called The Y-Files, as in why a new season.

Because it ets better ratings than everything on Fox that isn't Empire.

When everyone is saying 'Last Season' are you meaning the one on Netflix?

Ah, nvm.  What I meant to say was this the six episode or one from 2016?

If they were smart, they'd get a Kate McKinnon cameo/special guest role.

Oh, sure! Just put her in every reboot nobody asked for!

They need an episode where they team up with Sam and Dean Supernatural and kill off the Vampire Diaries cast.

The more I can see Gillian Anderson, the better.

On one of the "Behind The Scenes" bits they did on the first season I'll remember one of the characters talking about how no one really dies in the X-Files.

Seeing those guys in the last season made me happy.  Makes me realize how much I enjoyed those episodes.

Thanks Netflix - I'd love some more x-files. Ignore the whiners please. I imagine you judged that enough people did like it or you wouldn't be doing more.

The only way is through a time travel episode that recons the whole series....

Hmmmm....

Lame. You get better speculative fiction from Rick and Morty.

The Vampire Diaries cast at least seemed to have a sense of awareness of how messed up and odd their lives (deaths? afterlives?) all are.  Get them together to give The Walking Dead a mercy killing, and I'd back it.

Yes, please, thank you.
