Do you know what was interesting re-watching that?  He said something about Al Sharpton being most impressive in the debates (jokingly of course)....he then quipped that he felt that people who feel they don't have a chance in winning feel they can speak more freely....and yet, that all changed this past year.

So will this be Tucker Carlson's next failed show?

Ah, Tucker Carlson.  That guy in high school who had his dad file lawsuits against your dad because you wouldn't sit with him at lunch.  Brainy Smurf without the brains.  Or spine.

I don't understand why anyone likes this guy.  Even on the far right.  He's a sniveling, brown-nosing coward.

The only thing Tucker Carlson has sexually harassed is a Chihuahua.

Bob Beckel just said that they have a "big announcement" at the end of the show today.  He even put on his jacket today.

I thought he stopped wearing bow ties after Jon Stewart made fun of him during that interview.

Here you go.
It would interesting how they spin this. The "not-so-bad" approach ("Tucker Carlson - His Bow Tie Can't Grab Anybody!") or the doublethink approach ("Tucker Carlson has always been in this time slot").

Jon Stewart: "See, the thing is, we need your help. Right now, you're helping the politicians and the corporations. And we're left out there to mow our lawns."

Paul Begala: "By beating up on them? You just said we're too rough on them when they make mistakes."

Jon: "No, no, no, you're not too rough on them. You're part of their strategies. You are partisan, what do you call it, hacks."

It's really depressing how the media's gotten worse since that interview.

And a true piece of shiat, IMO. He's actually 100% committed to the highly expensive campaign to keep as many people in the country as angry and stupid as possible, while getting them to loathe and despise all forms of liberal ideology no matter how much the poor conditioned fools might benefit from liberal policies. And with hard work Tucker might be as good a mouthpiece for that campaign as Hannity is now. Lots o' cash in that racket, I hear.

One thing that separated O'Reilly from people like Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity is O'Reilly seemed to be a genuine, honest-to-god, wrong-side-of-history, red-blooded, pissed off and fear-driven conservative, an idiot to be sure, but one who really believed he was putting up a "no spin" zone. Carlson and Hannity are just a couple of human stains who each found a swell gig, and my guess is they couldn't care less about politics, or what they are doing to the country for that matter.

Beckel and Williams make it watchable.  Dana is also fairly reasonable for a conservative.  Bolling is the biggest conspiracy asshole, so him leaving will make it slightly better, but then again Watters is almost as bad so who knows how that'll go.  Oh and Guilfoyle is annoying as fark with all her snide remarks and dismissive expelling of air from her cake hole.

Carlson is just as good at interrupting and berating people as O'Reilly. Maybe even better. He'll do just fine dishing out all the red meat the Fox news audience craves.

2017-04-19 07:55:01 PM
What does it matter? Fox News was happy to pay off every woman who complained about O'Reilly's behavior, but only cared once advertisers objected (and Fox decided they needed to do anything to get their purchase of SkyTV to go through).

Not to mention that these same advertisers were fine with all the bullshait which O'Reilly had spewed on his show before the allegations blew up recently. These companies should have made this move back in 2004 when O'Reilly was trying to attack women with falafel.

Carlson has that magical Fox ability to take any story and turn the antagonist into the nonexistent liberal caricature while the protagonist is the nonexistent conservative hero.  I swear he could make a roll of paper towels sound like an heroic white underdog battling the evils done by messy liberals.

I am. I wasn't talking about Republican VS Democrat or conservative VS liberal like Crossfire pretended to be. I'm talking about "part of the problem VS not part of the problem."

Some of the people cheering on Stewart were doing so for calling out the Crossfire guys for being part of the problem without realizing that they, too, are part of the problem.

To be fair though, there are people who don't realize they're part of the problem and there are folks who know full-well, from the get-go, that they're a huge part of the problem. The thing is though, they just don't care.

I only wanted to stuff a dirty gym sock down O'Reilly's fat yap to make the sound stop. Tucker Carlson makes my fists clench involuntarily in preparation for a face-punching. It's basically a primordial instinctive response.
