The Browns in the Super Bowl! I don't care who you are, that's funny right there.

I don't think losing a draft pick(s) will hurt them any.

Nor starters.

Uh-oh Collins couldn't get along with Belichick because of his rigid defensive structure, now he has an "in your face" DC?
I can't see that going well.

Myles Garrett is gonna wreak havoc on your offense and murder your QB.

Meh, I have my Cavs and the Mrs. and I are going to an Indian's game for her birthday.

Let the dead-enders have the browns.

Doesn't matter how good your defense is, if your offense cannot score a single touchdown. Browns will never learn.

You have a QB, or you have nothing. Period, the end.

Why do you think they've stockpiled so many picks?  They lose a few picks due to penalties, they have everyone else's to fall back on.

That's the long term planning the organization has been missing, I tell you.

Former Rams fan here, and I'll tell you what you'll get with Williams as DC:

The combo of Jeff Fisher and Williams is one that is designed to improve a team from 1-15/2-14 to 7-9/8-8.  They'll play hard and dirty, and will get in the opponents' faces and irritate them, but the defense as a whole will be only 13th-18th ranked.  They'll emphasize beating up the teams in the division, to be fair.  From 2012-2015, the Seahawks went 1-3 in St. Louis, with the 1 being a goal line stand at the very end, they won games in Arizona, but they'd always lose at least once to the 49ers.

I know Jackson is the HC, and not Fisher, but if GW has any extensive say, look for the Browns to go to 7-9.  They'd probably beat the Steelers and Ravens at least once, and crap out against every other decent team (specifically NFC teams). But that 7-9 will be their high point.

No, but it will save some lucky players career.

Yeah, but all the QBs suck this year. So why not go defense?

You realize that since 1999 the Browns have only had two seasons where they did better than 7-9, and two seasons where they actually reached 7-9.

You start guaranteeing 7-9 and you'll get Browns fans damn near aroused.

As long as you aren't bounty-ing it... i don't see a problem.   That New Orleans thing was all about ethics, and if you don't have cash incentive, you can't really make an argument against a fella just doing his job.

Exactly. I'm a Browns fan ands know we need a quarterback, but we need defensive players too. Draft the best available and get a quarterback next year.
