"What's big enough to be semi-filled with 20,000 lbs of cheese?" is what I thought before getting to the end of that sentence.

2017-04-19 09:30:20 AM
Are we talking good cheese here or processed cheese product like American? Because the later would be like a large beer spill turning out to be Budweiser. I guess it could be considered sad but not really.

That's a lot of Mack and cheese.

Not even Wisconsin's worst dairy-based fire.

In other food-based disasters...

I've worked with processed cheese, it's mostly oil, water, with some dairy powders and e-salts and emulsifiers to hold it all together.  I'm betting it was judging by the picture, once the fire melted the cheese to the point it 'broke' letting the oil out, BLAMMO!

Well, it could be but Wisconsin produces 600 different varieties and styles of cheese so it can be anything. I am guessing it isn't some of our top end small production cheese, though. They don't do 20,000 lb at a time.

Too bad Harry Chapin is gone. He could have this as his sequel to "Bananas"

Woof. The Dunedin Brewery (Dunedin, FL) makes deep-fried cheese curds that I would happily OD and die on. Now, I have a Tica neighbor who makes delicious 'squeaky' cheese that is heavenly when fried in a pan. I keep her loaded up with cookies just to keep the supply line open.

Cheesy puns usually mish the point, but they're a cottage industry nonetheless.

The herve of some people... making light orda cheese gamalost too soon. Telemea, if you can, what's in their head. Now is the time when we should allow people to greve.
