Timely filing won't make a case but it can sure break it if not done.

Sounds like one of the plaintiffs might have squealed to the cops.

He said it was the 11th in a three-mile radius, raising health and environmental concerns.

That's a lot of pig shiat. I don't blame the guy.

Lowell Trom filed his complaint after a hog farm operation fit for 2,400 hogs was approved near his own farm in Blooming Prairie.

The permit was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying "Beware of the Leopard".

Basically this is a case of NIMBYs having fits?

craxyd: Basically this is a case of NIMBYs having fits?

No.

This is a case of facilities that are environmental disasters that shouldn't be allowed to operate anywhere being placed near humans.

A farm with some pigs is one thing.  An industrial pig factory is not a farm, it's more like having a chemical weapons plant next door.
