Nah...if any one of their supporting cast makes the baskets they usually make the Celtics win that game. Just played a little sloppy and threw up too many bricks.

They've put a concerted effort into rebounding at times this season and they'll do it again tomorrow.

Because why, their team might lose? Who cares? Their goal isn't to win this year anyway, and they have a nice pick coming up in the draft.

Games where Crowder hits those wide open 3's, C's win.
Games where Crowder shoots like Crowder, C's lose.

Feels like the same problem as last year.  One guy can shoot, one guy can play d, and the bigs are all soft as butter.  I was surprised the C's paid so much for Horford after seeing what he was in the playoffs.

The Bulls are in a real bind. They want Jimmy to play well against the Celtics so they can try to trade him to Boston for the Nets' pick(s?). But a shocking first round upset of the Celtics might cause management to not get canned and they will hold on to Jimmy and the franchise will just tread water for the next few years until Jimmy has no value and they completely wasted him as a player only making the playoffs for one or two round excursions and never being a serious contender for a title meanwhile the captain of the Titanic really doesn't like the placement of the chaisse lounges on the pool deck.

I think we need to remember that the C's didn't pay a lot for Horford based on the cap and the TV money coming in. I mean, they paid a lot. But compare his pay to other guys in the league who do what he does and just got a new contract this last year.

Yes, it's a lot. It used to be the max contract was $20mil so you see a guy today who makes that and you think, "BUT HE'S NOT A MAX GUY." Yeah, he's not. But he's not making max money.

Here's a link to look at what guys are making what money for the next few years. Obviously the guys they have laid out for 5-6 years signed their deals more recently. Lebron is making $30mil. Look at Mike Conley.

Pretty sure it is.
Stevens in a timeout: "All right guys, stop trying so hard.  We've gone far enough.  Remember, our goal is not to win this year!"

Their theoretical goal is to win, but they dont realistically expect it. (At least management and fans don't, which is what the headline is about.)
