I'll be impressed if he can hit over .400 for an entire season. The last person to do that at the MLB level was Ted Williams all the way back in 1941. My grandparents were children  back then.

Two Orioles borrowed his bat during the game - and both hit home runs.

And within a couple weeks every MLB team will have his tendencies mapped, and he'll go from being the next Trevor Story to being the next Trevor Story.

It's less cool when the "record" is through the first X number games of a season. And even less cool when it's only been a year since the last time the "record" was tied.

Still cool, but not quite "Tuffy Rhodes through 1 game in 1993" or "Adrian Gonzalez through 3 games in 2015" cool.

Who the hell was hitting 7 home runs in 12 games in 1913? Is this at some park where they moved in the fences?

They didn't have the stats per 1913

Nobody was. Subby didn't read carefully.

1913 is as far back as they currently have reliable game-by-game stats.
