Never heard of the 'loner stoner' thing. Must be a New York stereotype. It's always been a social drug in my part of the world.

Also same here. I think the "loner stoner" was a projection by the ones who bought into Reefer Madness and such.

I think the loner stoner could be used in a place like Okla, where you may have to hang out with people who still think of them dopers as a danger to society.

Since we've legalized pot in Oregon I get murdered regularly. Stay away. We're full of murderous pot zombies. They eat your grains.

Weed should at least be legalized as a method to treat PTSD for veterans and others in occupations that cannot unsee things. Military, Police. firefighters, EMT, first responders.  There are strains I'm sure could help me out considerably, but it's illegal, and I don't trust the stuff around here to knock cloud my mind or judgement. Have to stay clear-headed, and I'm not one to break the law, because doing the right thing is a great mental exercise that everyone should follow.

Hell, I'm in Texas and smoking is still smoking.  You don't hide out in a room and do it by yourself, you generally do it while you're hanging out with other people, same as tobacco.

I dunno about taking it to the gym, though, that seems kinda... counter-productive.  That's already something I don't always feel crazy motivated to do, lowering my motivation while also making it slightly more difficult doesn't feel like a great plan.

I'm not 100% on this, but I think the point is "If you can go to the gym stoned then you can do it any time."  You set a bottom level of motivation so you still maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I'm pretty much waiting for 1/18, when I as a CA resident can buy weed.  As a "loner drinker" I'm waiting until my liver can breath a sigh of relief, while my lungs yell out "HEY WTF!".

/ don't think it will happen
// alcohol makes me think I'm smart
/// weed makes me stupid
//// smart is good

Why are people so shocked that you can smoke pot before you exercise? Not every strain is butt glue. There's Indicas, Sativas, and any combination in between. Some strains make you sleepy, some make you energetic. Depends on what you're looking for. With legal stores, you know what you're getting, you know what chemicals have been used on it, and--if you have a good shop with educated staff--you're certain to get the strain that gives you the feeling you need or want.

Here, have fun: https://www.leafly.com/

I enjoy having something to take the edge off after a long week of work.  So far it's a sixer or bottle of wine over the weekend, but the day weed becomes legal in NY, I won't touch a drop again.

You know what they are telling you you're getting.  Here in Canada in a recent industry wide sampling of medicinal use stuff they found illegal pesticides on 1/3 of what they tested.

No.

If I don't get to use it to feel better, groups who overwhelmingly vote GOP sure as fark don't.

I can see it now, a cop who murders a black guy for selling loose cigs gets PTSD and treats it with joints. No.

fark that shiat.

As to the rest if your post, I have no idea wtf you've been smoking, but pot isn't going to give you reefer madness. If you start to feel too zonked, stop smoking and smoke less the next time.

I think what he's saying is essentially that it should be made a Schedule 4 drug instead of Schedule 1.  Medicinal use but not recreational, as with antidepressants and other mental trauma drugs.

I don't think he's actually advocating that the cops and military be given an entirely different kind of citizenship where different things are legal, he's saying it should be legal if a doctor prescribes it to you rather than OTC.

I stand by my argument. His entire post is an example of how so many people think group X is scum and group Y is not.

From Rush Limbaugh to the white ladies with their laudanum to wall street's cocaine, as opposed to the yellows with their opium dens and blacks with crack houses, or white trash (which still manages to be a term steeped in racism) and their oxy problems, the history of the drug war is one of using drugs as a tool to destroy the lives of the lesser groups while giving a pass to their betters. I'm a white male in that 'betters' class and it is farking disgusting. Giving good guys an exception is just a continuation of the trend, regardless of who the good guys are.

I get the appeal of accepting scraps and baby steps, but that should be after pushing hard for the real thing and failing, not the start of negotiation.

How sad is it that so many people do not understand this?

My emulation of NES games is more unethical than some things that we've given people life in prison over.

I actually lost over ten pounds by only letting myself watch porn while running on my treadmill. Getting stoned first helps a LOT. But you gotta find sites that show long clips, not the 2 to 5 minute teaser ads. Mouse control is hard while running. Of course, so am I now.

Smoke sativas not indicas. Indicas make most people sleepy and 'foggy'. Sativas can have the opposite effect, euphoria, energized, etc.

i don't think its a stereotype for me, its a point of pride.

I mean, i'm sure i could find someone to smoke up with prior to taking my dogs for a walk, or while driving to the grocery store... but why?     The whole point is to set some time aside in the day to get within my own head.

This is a cherry-picked survey from a marketing group. They are trying to prove that they can target a valuable demographic by going after potheads. It is bulldada.
