These coverage restrictions for sports and special events like awards shows are hilariously and pathetically out of date. The FCC could do something useful and look into it..

I remember when Conan O'Brien would have his regular characters like Pimpbot and the Masturbating Bear reenact plays from the NBA playoffs because NBC wouldn't let them air actual highlights, even though his show was on NBC.
