So many matches that are confusing.  Any club trying to get out of the relegation zone will be fighting.  I cannot say I expect the same from the clubs trying to get in the Europa or Champions League spots.  Good luck.

Hello everyone.
I see, after The S*n's attack on Ross Barkely (& Liverpudlians in general), Everton has followed Liverpool's lead.

What makes this all the more despicable is the timing of the original article. A day before the Hillsborough anniversary.

Morning all. Not hung over (not by choice). Hoping for Spurs to keep up the pressure, but not with any great expectations.

Also, f*ck the S*n

Dembele's 1st for 47 games, I'm told. Amazing.

Welp, I managed to post about half of what was in my head... what I meant to say was that I don't have great expectations that they will close the gap to Chelsea, who will also probably keep winning.

Which help me, because I, going against *everything* I usually do, picked the Spurs as my banker, and not my insurance, this weekend (I know, I know, Spurs as a *banker*?? Yes, I have gone mad).

You sure? Now that JoMo has publicly boosted the confidence of all his strikers, they could rip Chelsea a new one this week

Hmmm, four highly regarded, talented strikers are underperforming. I wonder what the common denominator is?

2017-04-15 08:37:54 AM
That was just too easy for Spurs.
Kane makes it 3-0.

Attempted suicide by the Bournemouth defense there.

Afternoon all.

FFPL report to follow during the main batch of games.

2017-04-15 08:52:29 AM
I'd like to see Spurs get a couple more here. GD could still matter at the end of the season, and Bournemouth are there for the taking.

2017-04-15 08:54:47 AM
This game has the feeling of a Spurs training ground practice.

I guess The Sun wanted to get out of Liverpool completely.

It's hard for me to watch football lately. Spurs can't seem to lose. As much as Bournemouth sucks, a goal by them would give me a perfect. So...come on, you Cherries!

Arsenal still have a chance to ruin Spurs' unbeaten home season...

What wizardry is this?

Wow Jannsen can score for Spurs.
4-0
And that is the game.

It was a bad article, but I do believe that the Sun probably didn't realize Barkley's genetic background, and so the racial aspect of it, terrible as it is, was probably unintentional. Shiat article and shiat timing to be sure, but I've called Rooney a "less handsome version of Shrek" and I still think Huth is little better than a Teutonic version of Frankenstein's monster (yes, Mertesacker deserves honorable mention there).

But then you haven't done it in a national newspaper.  & I use the word "newspaper" in the loosest possible sense.

It is your FFPL Report!

img.fark.net

The results of the third round of the Pratchett Shield were:

NorfolkingChance [120] Vs Blank #A [0]
Mr_H [85] Vs GreasyPetesTT [75]
Blank #C [0] Vs Blank #D [00]
Sephjnr [20] Vs Killer_Cars [120]
Blank #E [0] Vs Rev.K [105]
dietbubba 70] Vs Nogalltogether [65]
SomebdyElsesShoes [160] Vs Freelawyer 100]
Blank #B [0] Vs Princips_Sandwich [125]

Blank #C the only survivor, and that only thanks to some blank-on-blank action. GreasyPetesTT only just lost out to the league leader but Nogalltogether was just half a whisker behind dietbubba.

We'll do the draw tomorrow for the hung, drawn and quartered finals.

In League news Killer_Cars is running out of time to overtake Mr_H, but we all remember what happened last year, right? I sneak back into third. Sephjnr the only kicker in the bottom five.

Eclectic scored 135, LucklessWonder went up a mighty, mighty one place with his 150 but the round prize goes to SomebodyElsesShoes with a fine 160, leaving his cup pair Freelawyer on a mere 100.

No one scored less than zero, but amongst those with beating hearts ClavellBCMI, Sephjnr and ADubs86 scored 25, 20 and 15 lack-of-respectively.

Cheesehead_Dave leads the April Moon Cup by ten. Energy_Fools_The_Magician is out Mr Median and FFPL rose 5 to 152nd.

I think the thing that brought it over the line was the jab saying men with similar "pay packets" to Barkley in Liverpool were "drug dealers."

2017-04-15 09:53:10 AM
Nice reaction save by Burki for Dortmund.

2017-04-15 09:59:39 AM
Marco Fabian with a cracking goal from about 25-30 meters out.
Tie game in Dortmund.

There was also a lot of crude "you only have to look in his eyes to see how stupid he is". It would be a lot different to write, say, "you only have to read Kelvin MacKenzie's column to see how stupid he is". The one is pure prejudice, the other informed opinion based on the evidence at hand.
