All I can say to this is to look up the wiki article on smallpox.  First two words:  "Smallpox was"

You know, if we could find a way to amend stand your ground laws to include anti vaxxers as an automatic, imminent threat to safety and security, I could begin to see a way of generally supporting them.

Those of you who haven't, go look through the history and effects of some of the great plagues of history.  Read up on how even up to our modern era, diseases were devastating to cultures and families.

There was a time when the idea of being able to cure almost every known disease either after it was contracted (with antibiotics) or before it was even contracted (with vaccines) would have been considered the realm of pure idealistic fantasy.

And now that we have these things, that were once just dreams beyond imagination?  Now we have anti-vaxxers.

You contemptibly ignorant pieces of shiat.

We really need to come up with a way to override the vaccines given to the parents. Then when an unvaccinated child gets an easily preventable disease, the parent can be infected too. Show them what their love and concern is putting their child through.

/ then take the kid away

I have extreme green friends who believe every single piece of info about global warming that's fed 'em, yet are convinced GMO crops are dangerous to their health.

As someone who dated someone with polio I don't know how anyone would anti-vaxx. We are getting the infitesimal and unproven risk of autism and betting it against herd immunity.

I am a scientist and while I cheerfully eat GMO products I am very suspicious of how they are made. Monsanto cuts and splices genes across species like an illiterate with computer code or a magic spell, and hopes that p(a+b) = p(a) + p(b) .... how do we ensure we don't end up with food yeast and bandersnatchi?

Can we just put all the anti-vaxxers in a reservation like the Native Americans? Once OUR herd immunity is not protecting THEM we shall see how they fare.

I always wonder if it is OK to have schadenfreude about the anti-vaxxer mom whose 5 kids all get sick and who repents her anti-science ways, or the Trump voter who will die without ObamaCare.

I know you won't read it, and if you do you'll ignore the parts that easily, soundly refute your repeatedly-debunked claim.

Enjoy your ignorance, hope you're not spreading it to another generation.

You naysayers are just ignoring the bigger picture. Anti-vaxxing will be what unites and heals America, since it attracts both the right-wing fundamentalists and left-wing granola loonies.

Seriously, how many kids have died from measles in the years since the anti-vaxxer movement became a thing?

I can remember lining up for shots in grade school and no one's parent screaming that the state was sterilizing their snow flake.  I also remember being fed peanut butter sandwiches in the school lunch program and no one falling over dead.

So, the only explanation I have is that somehow I went through a portal and arrived on Alternate Earth.  Must have happened when I got on the C-141 and we flew through one of those mysterious storm clouds.

Sure wish I could go back.
