Uzzah: I guess that Ringo's pair of socks that allowed him to communicate with David Rockefeller are just plain old socks now.

Or they just got even weirder.

Good thing he got that heart transplant a few years back and kept anyone younger from getting it.

The Illuminati hasn't been this bereft since the Colonel went tits up

I real shame.

At that age, nobody gets any celebrity death pool points.

Wow, first Chuck Berry, now David Rockefeller.

Sounds like God is getting the band back together...

I'm liking the people who think they are insulting him by calling him a Globalist. Or whatever term muppets are using these days to describe how the world is a smaller more connected place than it used to be.

He leaves behind billions of dollars

I always get teared up at these stories of old people and their childhood love.

A point in my dead pool, at least on one of my lists.

How? The usual rules are 100 minus the age. He'd be negative one point.

Unless you have a special rule, such as bonus points for the first one in the pool to get a hit, etc.

For those who enjoy such things, you can set up a pool at  Doug Stanhope's Celebrity Death Pool

The site interface sucks, but the actual mechanics of how it works are very good.

Stiffs.com - The list in question

Rules are pretty simple.  Pick 10 famous people, get 1 point for each one who dies.  Age is irrelevant.  Ties at the end of the year get broken by points, i.e. #5 on my list is worth 5 points.

The sticky point is who counts as famous.  For years and years, the criteria was getting an obituary from the AP.  Then they changed to a fixed ~1500-name list, and a 40-member-or-so "Fame Committee" to rule on any write-ins.  So far, the Fame Committee seems to be illterate and/or assholes, because they twice ruled against Terry Pratchett, and I'm still waiting for a ruling on Jimmy Snuka.

David Rockefeller Sr. had an estimated net worth of $3.2 billion in 2014, ranking him as the 207th richest American citizen.

Whatever, dude.  He's like a 7th round pick in my fantasy billionaire draft. At BEST.

Is that transplant number seven or number eight you refer to?

A lot of potential donors are sleeping safe tonight, unless they figured out how to give the old man a full body transplant.

Perhaps the repeated heart transplants have yielded some useful medical knowledge.

/My father used to work for him at Chase and always considered him a great person...not maybe the greatest banker...and he was kind to my brother and me.
