Are they suggesting that bags with handles was a 'technology' they discovered after they had tools and knowledge to build the pyramids?

It only takes seconds to google that they were making baskets, and bags with handles.

What's interesting about this picture:
s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com

Is Not the obvious Bucket/basket motif at the top of the column, but that the column (in the Anatolia region of Turkey) itself is reliably dated to be over 10,000 years old, meaning, at least according to classic theory, it predated the invention of agriculture by at least 1000 yeas which was supposed to be  when specialized professions like store carving started to arise.    Even more interesting is that  still buried parts of the complex may be 14,000 years old, which is before the end of the last Ice Age

Not to mention the traffic jam at the top. If they had traffic like that, they couldn't have been too advanced.

And their flamingos are all broken.

Left to right:

Annunaki (Generic Sumerian deity) - Holding a bucket.  Water and ritual cleansing were a big deal in most sumerian faiths.

Dagon (Assyrian) - not sure what he's holding, but given his mythology probably a kettle or water-bucket as well, he was actually a water-associated god.

Toltec Warrior columns (Toltec, obviously) - holds an atlatl (basically the equivalent of a sling but for a javelin).

So... no, no purses in that image.

Archeology is an... interesting science. It moves slowly as the old guard that won't budge from their world view dies out and is replaced by younger people with new theories. When you get to subjects like Egyptology and the Near East things can get really stagnant as theories try to move centuries of tradition. There was a longstanding classical view of the steady progress of civilization that is only slowly being abandoned for the understanding that civilizations can grow, innovate, and become forgotten along with major parts of their technology.
I think underwater archeology is going to something to watch in the future and new ground penetrating radar and satellite technology has already given us glimpses into things we've never suspected.
The one thing I'm really waiting for is more exploration of the Great Pyramid. I've heard too little since they sent the robot up the shaft to drill through a door. I'd love to see some new secret revealed in my lifetime.
