Cool.  It's just one of a thousand or so reasons Trump should be nowhere near a position of authority, but I'll take it.

Trump: We'll SUE!
Advisors: We're the ones being sued, sir.
Trump: Well then we'll COUNTER SUE!
Advisors: Can't do that, sir.  They've done nothing wrong.
Trump: Fine, fine.  Settle out of court.  Offer them a few hundred thousand.
Advisors: You really don't get reality, do you sir?

Now that is going to get into murky territory about states rights. But whatever is required to keep up the pressure. I'm guessing they can use his continued property and business holdings as the excuse for standing

What is the status of the Trump Foundation investigation?  I did a quick google and typing the words "Trump Investigation" gets you like a million results.  If you put "Trump Foundation" in quotes, it seems like most of the stories end around December 27, 2016.

I don't think it's murky at all.  It's completely with in the power of the NY AG to investigate the Trump organization.  Charging him is another issue all together.

I do believe we are going to see the first president in history who is walked out of the Oval Office in handcuffs. At least he'll have a secret service detail in the prison shower. Maybe they'll just turn Mar-A-Lago into a sort of Arkham Asylum for him and his cronies.

If there was an ongoing investigation, wouldn't the office itself just pick up where Bahara left off? It seems too pat that an administration could conclude, "Oh, an investigation? Let's fire the prosecutor."

What makes you think the new appointee won't be selected on the specific criteria that they won't continue the investigation?

Heck, they might not even bother appointing one.

In the very remote chance they actually find something to charge him under state law the plus side is he can't be pardoned. However can the president be arrested under state law while in office?

You seem to think that Trump was elected God Emperor, not President. He is immune from prosecution for his official acts as president. He is not immune for acts that he could not have legally performed as President. He is also still subject to laws on a state and local level for things like bribary, fraud, and murder. Especially for things that occurred prior to his taking the oath of office.

You also have the X factor of the 2018 midterms. If (huge If, the biggest, most luxurious if. You won't believe how great an if it would be...) if the Democrats flip the house they can start congressional inquiries and impeachment proceedings. We may not need to wait that long as #45 is also fond of burning bridges with the GOP.

Lots of presidents hire white supremacists, lots of presidents have their companies get big trademark agreements in China right after they take office, lots of presidents put their assets in a "blind trust" managed by their kids while they totally know what's in that "blind trust."  Lots of presidents falsely accuse their predecessors of wiretapping them.  Lots of presidents get their info exclusively from Fox and Breitbart.

It's all perfectly normal.  Chill out libs!

One of the reasons I like fark. I take the time to watch the videos to the songs I've
heard forever. And now I"m going to have to watch the nsfw version.
Watching this, I want to know about the actors they got to be in this. All those old farts
sitting around pretending to eat pudding, they must have had a hoot being in this, feeling
alive, and part of something young. I hope I'm going to be like that when I'm old. (not long to go!)

although, if you think back to the campaign, it's plausible he expected to lose and so did whatever he could to lose. Remember there was always thoughts that he was a Clinton plant to throw the election.

I wouldn't dismiss the notion he did this to get Putin off his back, thinking that he was going to lose anyway. No one but his diehard supporters really thought he had a shot.
