So, he finally found a team to sign him?

Go Somali Pirates!! Woo!

Somalia?

Will the US government stand for this?

Good for him! Now someone just make sure there's only enough gas in the plane for the trip there.

I get the feeling he's going to have a lot of free time next season

I was going to make a Clemente quip also, but I didn't think that it would stand up very well.

While this is admirable, because his name is attached to it, I foresee this crashing horribly...

The fundraising, not the plane...

It could've taken a knee.

More proof Kaepertakeaknee hates America. Donating food to some foreigners when there are people starving here.

Didn't South Park have an episode about this?

So, it'll COSTthe same as 60 tones of food. Colon will of course throw short and only deliver 48 tons.

Then, if he's involved, the plane will veer wildly off-course and land in Oman. Kaeopectate will begin a public protest of women being unable to drive and lead to the plane being unable to takeoff again as the government in power yanks the flight license.

Colon will demand to then be released to start an activist campaign in Rwanda for minimum wage.

The season is over.  There is no reason to do things in I order to distract attention from him being a bad quarterback.

Good. He is a lot better at that sort of thing than he is at football these days.

Exactly why should we all do exactly the same thing while the national anthem is played? Have any of you mindless drones ever actually thought about that? Land of the free my ass.

Literally all flights are like that, they don't want to waste fuel by holding all that extra weight.

If Kapernick played well, his protest would of been much more meaningful.  Imagine one of the starting Super Bowl quarterbacks taking a knee during the national anthem.  It would of been farking awesome.

He's free to protest. We're free to mock him for it. Everyone wins.

There are different layers to the "Kaepernick hate", for lack of a better term. I didn't have a problem with his national anthem protest in of itself. I got annoyed with him however because it was clear after awhile parsing his quotes on the subject that he either isn't very bright, and/or he was more interested in simply being portrayed as an "activist" as opposed to standing up for a coherent cause. Wearing that Castro shirt and otherwise going "off message" in a press conference before the game against Miami was a good example of his scattershot, attention-whoring manner.

I'm all for displays of activism; just be articulate and consistent about it.

Perhaps if some dipshiat didn't feel the need to start belting it out at every sporting event, town hall, grocery store opening and debate and anywhere else there's more than 100 people or 3 corporate sponsors, we'd give a bit more of a fark

Frankly I'm tired of hearing it all the damn time. ProTip: It's only special if it happens for special events or is exceptionally rare. Right now it's whored out for corporate ticket shares and political correctness instead.

I know it's fark and I really do not care for the man, but hey, props to him (of course leave the props on his plane till he lands....)

You know, even if his publicist thought about it as a PR move, More power to the mission.

Hunger can't be a good way to go (if there is such a thing). Something like this gesture can literally make the difference between life and death for another human being, no matter what prompted the act of compassion.

16 TDs, 4 picks, 59.2%, 2241 yards holy shiat can this guy even throw a football, that's garbage I could do that

yall are some racist shiatbags, just like NFL owners. There's no reason besides blackballing why you wouldn't want him even as a backup

NotThatGuyAgain: Wouldn't the money go farther if he fed the homeless in the US?

This is like doing triage at a hospital, where you help the neediest patients first.

He's helping people who are literally starving to death.

We just don't see starvation in the USA. We have hunger, and we have organizations to help people who need food. But we don't have mass starvation like what Somalia is preparing for. So he's helping the people that need it the most. Because if they don't get help, they are dead.

Watch his game tape some time, he's one of the worst QBs there are right now

He doesn't read a defense for shiat. He has no anticipation. He focuses on one or two routes/receivers and goes effectively blind to the rest of the field. He has no patience and zero pocket awareness.

He drops his eyes too quickly, panics when he imagines pressure (basically every passing play that has him hold the ball more than 1 second), forgets hot-read and blocking assignments and, on the infrequent occasions he has a clean window to throw in, tends to throw way too hard and with no appreciable accuracy.

He's had *years* in offenses specifically simplified to his level and focused....and gotten *worse*.

But that doesn't make headlines.
No team will sign the guy.
Part of the issue may be his taking a knee, but the bigger issue is that he just isn't that good.
