And exactly 0 without happy little trees I'm guessing.

With Bob Ross stuff being added to Netflix and Amazon I must say that the Colorado weed market hit a 5% increase over the past few months in sales.
I sure as fark contributed to it, nothing better than getting stoned as fark to wind down on a work night and throwing on Bob Ross.  You don't even have to pay attention, just every now and then look back at the tv.

The... the happy little trees. It's like no matter where you go in the room, the branches are always reaching for you. Just waiting to catch you off guard and grab you...

To give you a big 'ol cheerful hug! Man, those trees are happy!

"I've seen this Bob Ross episode before... I don't need to watch it." - no one ever

I've been using this site a lot, the search by color function is super handy when you're running low on paints.

And for anyone wondering, Bob Ross is super easy to break into...watch the video once, then go and paint along with it. Much easier that way.  I'm no expert, but I really enjoy doing it. (Pardon the poor photos, not a good lighting setup in the basement)  As soon as my class ends this semester I'll have time to do more.

Those are amazing, props

Thank ye muchly. I got the Bob Ross Master set off amazon with some gift cards I had, made it a little easier to get into. You can save costs by doing a lot of different things (used an old gallon paint bucket for cleaning with wire mesh, made my own easel with a ladder, etc). I just spent money on paints and the brushes, and get canvases on sale at Michaels/Joanns.

It is somewhat sad that there were no Joy of Painting\Mr Rogers Neighborhood crossover episodes, it would have been positively epic no matter which appeared on whose show.

Do you just beat the tar out of the brush when you clean it?

Devil...its beat the devil out of it...

I put some paint thinner in a 1 gallon paint bucket with a wire mesh at the bottom. Dip the paint brush in there, shake it a small amount, then move over to a waste basket that I put a steel rod through. Then I smack the devil out of the brush there to prevent stuff from flying all over the place.  Keeps the room clean, but my hand gets covered in stuff.
I'm not a very clean painter...

His name is Kim Beom, and yes this is an intentional comedic satire.

Characteristic of the Seoul-based artist Kim Beom's humor, the 31-minute video Yellow Scream (2012) takes its inspiration from instructional television programs. The piece, the artist states, "is like the typical painting lessons of Bob Ross. What I was feeling in the theme of this video is the existential nature of contemporary art (and culture) as well as of artists. There are dynamics of many elements such as absurdity, the bizarre, intelligence, form, seriousness, and creativity."

In that vein, the instructor, played by an actor, gives a deadpan course on technique, from priming canvases to color theory, while occasionally advising about the Zen-like quality of painting, from visualizing a balanced composition to controlling breath: "Now relax and try to feel your breathing, because screaming is part of breathing." He then demonstrates his method, treating different types of utterances as if they're artistic media or hues of paint. His brush strokes are variously accompanied by "a long scream that sounds like when you're hurt, as if someone yanked your arm behind you or pulled you by the hair"; "a scream induced by psychological pain"; and "a more pained, wronged, and regretful scream." Nearing the painting's completion, he advises, "Let's mix a bit of permanent green and add some refreshing hope and pleasure to the screams of joy." The final work, he says, achieves a symphonic melding of color and emotion-a "clear, resonating chorus" of yellow.
