Hey, us old guys gotta stick together.  Can't tell you how many times last year I hit a triple and made it to second.

/I think I'm retired from softball now.  Shoulder is so bad I can't throw anymore.

It's nice that he's sticking around and all, but a Japanese indie league isn't a ticket back to the majors. Rickey Henderson had no problem getting on, over and in playing indie ball long after the phone stopped ringing, even without the obstacle of having to fly halfway around the world for a look-see from a big league team.
