This makes me realize how durable Eli is. I have had no idea who his backup is for a long time.

I'm going to pretend that I respect him for THAT and not the other thing that I don't want to mention as a Pats fan.

Give him respect for beating Tom Brady twice in the Super Bowl?  Meh.

How in the hell is Geno Smith still in the league?

Last one I remember was Jim Sorgi after he left other Manning.

And Brandon Marshall says "I went across town to get away from you, Geno. Go away."

I don't think Sorgi ever made the team. Which is hilarious when you think about the list of "who?" the Giants had backing up Eli.  As a Giants fan, going off memory here:

Ryan Nassib
Jared Lorezen (aka Pillsbury Throwboy)
Jesse Palmer
David Carr
Curtis Painter

I'm sure there were more, but eh...who cares? Josh Johnson and Gene will fight it out for primary backup this year and next. Hopefully they draft a great kid in 2018, as this years draft looks light on quality QBs...

Jared Lorenzen, the Pillsbury Pass Boy, The Abominable Throwman. The Round Mound of Touchdown. The Hefty Lefty. And Jesse Palmer.

Even though they like to pretend they don't, both the New York Giants and New York Jet's play their home games in the same stadium which is located in New Jersey.  The only true New York football team is the Buffalo Bills.

that still doesn't explain "across town" when both team's offices and locker rooms are in the same building

It's a farking colloquialism, a phrase. It's not literal. Lighten up, Francis.

Actually the joke was the "knock out the physical" part, since Geno got knocked the fark out by his own teammate. The colloquialism was just a colloquialism.

Judging by the reaction it provoked? Yeah, you may be right :)
