From the few times I caught a game there, they need to sell weed. Do a lot more business that way.

The Raiders leaving Oakland would be the best thing for the A's. Then they could just remodel their current stadium to remove the cookie-cutter features and tear down the wall of luxury boxes in the outfield to restore the old view of the hills.

As much as I agree with restoring the Mausoleum to pre-Mt. Davis views, when has any stadium in the history of ever -removed- luxury boxes?

They can't go to San Jose because the Giants cock-blocked that move (and frankly, they should sue the holy hell out of the Giants for that), not sure if they're willing to build a new baseball-only stadium in downtown Oakland and their only other option is moving the team...to Montreal?

They're really kind of screwed.

Therein lies the rub. I suppose with a complete stadium overhaul, you could just shift them around, but it's Oakland we're talking about. Good luck with funding it.

Cheap beer was the Cubs business plan before Theo Epstein and it actually worked pretty well to help Cubs fans weather the 100+ years of sadness and despair (cuz...beer).

Pretty sure I was paying close to double digits for a beer at Wrigley during the 100-loss season.

/seats were cheap as hell, though

Hmm, raise the price of import beer by 7¢/oz, while lowering domestic by 3¢/oz, and everyone only notices the domestic price.  The A's are still working the numbers.

Ah moneyball. Such a misunderstood idea. It doesn't actually help low payroll teams compete. It helps any team get more bang for their buck, and a big payroll still has more bucks to get bang with.

Nah, based on attendance and "stadium situation".

When Oakland is involved, hovering over is a good way to avoid infection.

You give away FREE beer, and going to an A's game in that giant open toilet the call a stadium would still suck.

In fairness, I thought it was the Arizona D'Backs since Chase is whining about no tax dollars are going to their "maintenance" of the stadium...

Wherever the Raiders wind up, I hope they still keep the dirt infield for the first half of the season.

Quick quiz: which teams had dirt infields in their home stadiums in Tecmo Super Bowl?
