I'm skeptical of our ability to have accurate voter counts on a thousand year old election.

In 1026, Cnut was king of England and Scandinavia.

Trump also thinks he can command the waves to stop.

/yes, I know what Cnut's original point was.

And now America has a complete and utter Cnut as president.

Bullshiat. The voter turnout in 2012 was higher than the entire human population in 1026. Fake news.

When the Normans come over they aren't sending their best and brightest.  They're bringing plague, they're witches, and some of them, I assume, are good people.

I doubt it. Here's what a polling place looked like in the 1026 election in America--doesn't look particularly crowded:

In fact, historians attribute low voter turnout that year to the Pueblo Party nominee finally being able to beat the Anasazi nominee for the first time in decades.

And in America, we elected another Cnut last year as president. Oh, wait, I think I made a typo there and transposed a couple of letters, sorry.

Actually the Pueblo Party had thugs intimidating the Anasazi voters at the polls to keep them from voting.  Some facts don't always make the news.

I've heard that but I don't buy it--I think those claims were just the Anasazi being sore losers.  Of course the Pueblos didn't exactly cover themselves in glory in that election either--don't forget that even though Tehwahke (the Pueblo candidate) won, he claimed--without any evidence whatsoever--that the only reason he didn't win by more was that the Ansazi had brought in a bunch of Aztecs and Mayans to vote illegally.

This is a claim the Aztecs and Mayans vehemently denied.  But you can't believe them, they were bloody liars.

Relating to TFA, we knew this a while ago.  I believe in the end more people voted for both parties in 2016 than 2012.  It's just Trump frothed up his base more somehow, and the votes for Hillary were concentrated in the wrong states.

Everyone was passionate... I just think it surprised everyone how many farking retards would vote for Carnie-Handed Mango-Man.

2017-03-16 01:28:29 PM
Interesting stats but I'm REALLY curious to find out how many people were:
1) removed from voter registration rolls
2) were forced to vote via provisional ballot on election day because they were removed from registration rolls
3) how many of those votes were actually counted

For instance, in 2000, Bush won Florida over Gore by 5,000 votes.  14.4% of all black voters, 90,000 of them, had their votes thrown out that year (half of all discarded ballots in the state).
