I'm sure that Wells Fargo is structured such that no one can possibly be blamed for this.

Word is that a lot of execs are bailing like the proverbial rats from a sinking ship. The CFPB is going to have a field day with them.

I hope they work fast.

I'm not normally a fan of the CFPB but this is the kind of thing that they need to address.

Assuming they don't get gutted before then.  Remember, Trump is president and consumer protection is for chumps.

One could ask what they were doing while all this shiat was going on but that's water under the bridge.

They actually had a website people could go to whistleblow on Wells Fargo specifically.  You could count in minutes how long after inauguration it lasted until it got the axe.

One could also ask why they didn't even have a director until the summer of 2013, but that's water under the bridge.

I didn't realize that the offenses occurred in the last 2 months.

It would be helpful if you could explain how they shook down Chase in early 2013 and yet let Wells get away with murder during the same time.

This is the sort of asshole that has to pay for protection.

This is the kind of asshole that SHOULD have to pay for protection, all the damn time, because people are outraged and want to tear him limb from limb if he has the audacity to show his face in public.

We [my company] actually cut them off from diversifyin' our bonds over this shiat.

I can't think of anything the CFPB has addressed that it shouldn't have.

Their shakedowns of Chase and Ally (to name just two) were ham fisted and way out of their realm.
