Waiting for a tax refund so I can go to JIB? I could launch a story with that bit of pathetic.

Jack in the Box consistently has the best commercials of any fast food joint.

How can that be? Their tacos are deep fried shredded "meat" and American cheese, sop up the alcohol you've drank like a sponge wrapped in Brawny, and are as addictive as a game of CandyCrush wired up to an IV of China White. Those things probably cost 10 cents to make and they sell them for a buck each. No way they can lose money.

I wish Jack-in-the-Box would expand eastward so I can try it.

My mom works in tax prep.  She said that this year all the filings dropped off insanely and her pet theory is that all the clients her company deals with are waiting to see if there will be a loophole for the fine for not having insurance.

/They deal with mostly rural poor filers.
//The kinds of people who would go to Jackin the Crack with their refunds.

Is it because their bacon melt recipe was stolen by hackers?

My federal tax refund showed up in nine days.  My state tax refund showed up in twenty days (four days faster than last year).  So I call bullshiat on the article.

I'm gonna go with "too much mayo".  Man, I miss Jack in the box.  Del taco, too.

there is one in my s.c. town and i have never been there. i never realized how centralized they are and mine could be the closest for people 500+ miles away depending on direction.

I'm gonna go with those butter buns they're advertising are worse than the regular ones, and the burgers made with them cost twice as much.

That, and every time I think of eating a taco from them makes my arteries start chanting "Do you feel lucky, punk?"

/ them tacos are much tastier than they have any right to be
// 0 nutritional value
/// everything your doctor tells you not to eat

They lost some business for me as they've dropped some of my "I'm having a bad day" binge items over the past few years, such as the spicy chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, and other items. JitB is the guilty pleasure place, open late with real garbage on the menu, but they've gotten rid of most of the garbage and I don't like their tacos, so I guess I'll go somewhere else.

My CPA suggested not even efiling because of whatever issues they're having this year.  I expect to get my return some time this century.

Here's an idea: Expand to the rest of the country, you Jackholes. There isn't a Jack-in-the-Box within about 400 miles of me (well, more like 300 as the crow flies, but if I actually used the roads, it would be longer).

You guys love Jack in the Box?  Try Five Guys or Blake's Lotta Burger.  JIB is crap.

Did you file for the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit refunds?  Only returns with those claims are being delayed, to give the IRS more time to catch fraudulent claims. I've no idea if that type of fraud is any more common than voting fraud, but it hurts poor families so here we are.

I blame it on Jack's voice sounding different.

Maybe the problem is that too many of their stores are located in the forever health conscious California?  If they opened up a few in the Deep South, they would have more stability, because Southerners never let things like high blood pressure, or not being able to see their confederate belt buckles because of their belly flap, get in the way of enjoying deep fried meals.

I work fast food and this happens every 1Q.  My first store manager said it best:  "Everyone has spent so much money on Christmas and racked up their credit card bills, that they don't have any money to spare for fast food until the refund checks come in and they can pay off their bills."
