Wow.

The spray of what I can only assume is very expensive rubber makes me slightly queasy.

How do you stop a 1,000 mph car?
Youtube ds7x9vbPeHU

Not same wheels, but nice video of disc brakes at 120mph.  (Bonus: I'm pretty sure that's in visible light, and the disc still goes white hot.)

I'm more curious to know how you light your bong...fire drill or plough?   Flint and steel seems a bit too simple and modern.

You would if you had a content deadline and could pad it with two more links to the same originator. Don't forget to end the entry with a question intended to generate discussion in the comments.

The guy who runs the youtube channel put up a few shows about buying the car in question.  Those are "$50 tires" (were on the car when he bought it) which were scheduled for imminent replacement (presumably he had to drive an S2000 on them in snow to get to the MVA to re-register to avoid losing his registration).

So actually very cheap rubber (I suppose he could have sold them, but the market for that sized tire for ultra-cheap rubber probably isn't worthwhile).

All that trouble plus the expense of a high quality FLIR camera... and they can't use a simple, farking tripod.
