herne - Where are you getting your info? Really would like to know I checked all over & there is no mention of bin Laden being a Sunni muslim just an Islamic fundamentalist.

I've said this before and I'll say it again because the message clearly isn't getting through to the right people:

if both coalition and opposition forces were forced to go about their business wearing pendulous, plastic comedy breasts then none of these problems would arise.

religion of peace indeed.

the koran 2.191 And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.

I wonder what the Christian Bible has to say about that. Undoubtedly it would be much more forgiving, right?

Deuteronomy 13:6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; 13:7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;13:8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:13:9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. 13:10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God

Maybe it's just that blindly following 4000 year old mythology is a stupid thing that appeals to stupid people.

xenkylm-Saddam and the leadership of Iran hated each other. There is no way the mythical WMDs were mowed to Iran before the war. Remember, Iraq and Iran fought a war for a decade not too long ago (the US supported both sides, IIRC, so they would hurt each other).

Now, a somewhat more reasonable statement is that they were moved to Syria (which was controlled by Baathists, like Iraq), but there's no proof of that.

2004-05-12 12:03:13 PM
blike: Bush "reinforced" the data, and put his spin on it. Or the administration's spin, anyway. Bush isn't smart enough to spin a top.

And other countries may have believed there were WMD, but they were willing to exhaust UN procedures before invading. That's something the entire UN, and Clinton, should have pushed a little harder over the last decade. But you can't blame Saddam because they let him be. And you don't invade in the face of obvious progress in destroying weapons.

Okay, that didn't work.. you kept on flaming.... Now for the cute bunnies

2004-05-12 12:04:01 PM
Before I go reread this post I think a lot of you missed it.

2004-05-12 11:39:40 AM blike

Recent Iraqi defectors provide additional details of Iraqs support for international terrorism throughout the 1990s. The Public Broadcasting Service documentary program entitled Frontline interviewed former Iraqi intelligence and army officers with first-hand accounts of highly secret installations run by an international terrorist known to Iraqi staffers only as the Ghost.

"What I think is there is somehow a change in the level of the type of operation bin Laden has been carrying [out]. What we are looking at initially is more or less just attempts to blow some buildings, just normal use of explosives for a terrorist. What we have in the September 11 operation, [is a] tightly controlled, very sophisticated operation; the type an Iraqi intelligence agency, well versed in the technology [could pull off]. ... So my thinking is a guy sitting in a cave in Afghanistan is not the guy who will do an operation of this caliber. It has to have in combination with it a guy with the sophistication and know-how on how to carry these things.

... Iraq [also] has a history of training terrorists, harboring them, and taking good care of them, by the way. A terrorist is well cared for with Saddam. So he has a good reputation in that type of community, if you like." -Dr. Khidhir Hamza, who served as Iraqs Director of Nuclear Weaponization

Negah sez: My guess it would take about a week.

Actually, it would take much less than that. If the American soldiers were to pack up and leave instantaneously one night, then the news would be at the mosques by morning prayers. The mosques would become the centre of government, and the 'radicals' (what you would call terrorists) would consolidate power in a very short period, but the writing would be on the walls in the first hours after withdrawal.

btw

Here is another muslim who found this beaheading sickening and despicable - but then again I also find the rape of prisoners with broomstick handles sickening and despicable, I find the childish girly giggling of that girl in the photos when she was interviewed about them sickening and despicable, I find the shooting and killing of tens of iraqis prisoners in US custody sickening and despicable - so what to do I know, I must have a low threshhold on what I find sickening and despicable?

Yodas Ugly Brother - Happy?

That poor kid. Thanks to that picture, he's doomed to a adolescence dominated by inner turmoil and sexual identity issues. He will probably grow up to be a terrorist.

*desolate sigh*

I'm sorry but people make me pro-nuke. On BOTH sides.

Before we go into a neighbors yard to put down a vicious dog(Sadaam/Al Queda analogy) lets clean up our own yard first.
(Please don't start on that dog came into our yard route cause we've been going into their yard and poking it with a sharp stick for far too long not to have expected it to bite our hands.)

I'm just appalled that anyone who does this (beheading) can call themselves religious. What kind of a God would want your sick psycho ass in his Heaven/Paradise if you did that. Hope he's got a good bouncer at the Gates.

(Even worse they "sawed" his head off. At least do it in one quick stroke.)

PS - I suck at html and politics and political correctness shiat.

Muta
Bush sent our troops into Afghanistan upsetting OBL and his minions. Perl was killed during that time - if I recall correctly. So according to your post, that would make Perl's death Bush's fault. No?

Bin Laden is Sunni. Run a google search.

2004-05-12 12:06:40 PM
It sure is hot in this thread.

Does anyone know of where I can get a transcript for that those "people" are saying in the video right before they kill that poor kid? It obviously means something so if anyone can help I would appreciate.

/still shaken by that video

Yodas Ugly Brother:- I don't believe the brown cute bunny has sufficiently condemned all actions taken against white cute bunnies.

kaliya

I think it goes further to say that if they fight you, fight them back, but if they ask for peace you must give it to them. It's not up to you to say no, just do it and trust in god.

Not exactly the "kill them all and let god sort them out" stuff you'll see the freepers and little green footballers saying are core muslim values, is it ?

2004-05-12 12:08:12 PM
Ummmm... I am so sorry, but what the hell was this guy thinking. He didn't have to go to Iraq - he was just there trying to make a buck - or more correctly, a lot of bucks.
I don't even get off the freeway in a bad neighborhood, so excuse me if I find this guy a total moron...

Yodas Ugly Brother

Before everything gets out of hand, I'm just going to post a happy picture

Before flaming, think of the children.

Some of us ARE thinking of the children

2004-05-12 12:09:45 PM
Give them 7 days to evacuate women, children, and the infirm to a safe zone, then kill the rest. They have had long enough to clean their own house, and they haven't.

fark these chickencraps who hide behind masks, if they believed the crap they espouse, they would show their faces.

I take a big giant crap on pictures of Mohammed and Allah in my toilet every day.

hey ho.

2004-05-12 12:10:14 PM
BenJaxBchFL-Of course, Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11, so if we are there because of 9/11, it would be like FDR attacking India after Pearl Harbour, because, y'know, they are both in Asia.

2004-05-12 12:10:15 PM
Yodas Ugly Brother - Oh, man. First you post a picture of a doomed child, and now you present us with a pseudo-abstract rendition of the futility of love and how our quest to find unity is destined to fail.

*goes off to look for a belt, a chair and a post*

2004-05-12 12:10:15 PM
That guy up there was right. All we have to do to end this tomorrow is just stop being Israel's lap dog/pit bull and get out of the Middle East. That's all we have to do but Israel won't let us.

2004-05-12 12:10:39 PM
Why would anyone watch the video.

The terrorists decapitated a man to horrify and send a signal to the occupation forces. But they videotaped it and put it onto the net to make it visceral, to offend you directly, to horrify and nauseate you. "See what power we have over you?" they declare.

And you download it and play right into their hands.

It's depressing.

Does anyone have a link to the video?

Ever notice that muslims can never criticize a terrorist act by muslims unless they also mention something that has been done to the, even if it not even remotely connected?

Even if we had not invaded Iraq and israel not ever existed, they'd be doing the same things, just citing the crusades as their excuse.

/B52 please

Alicious - sort of a 'take your pick'

http://www.state.gov/g/drl/rls/irf/2001/5758.htm gives you the breakdown of Saudi society. Shiites are a much smaller and marginalized part of society.

We need more pictures like that.

The media only shows the horrible and sad stuff. :(

I wouldn't watch it unless you have a really strong stomach and don't live in reality.

go back to last week's threads on the prisoner abuse.

the hawks all had a "BUT" or "THEY STARTED IT AT FALLUJAH" comment.

proof that assholes exist on all sides who are willing to be apologists for horror as long as it's a horror upon the "others" and not upon them.

2004-05-12 12:14:52 PM
Geotpf...

You are right...No proof has ever been shown regarding a connection between Iraq & 9/11. But attacking Iraq, who rewarded suicide bombers, was known to be trying to acquire nuclear weapons, and was know to have had WMD...that's what we call preventative maintenance. And as many on the left have said that Bush didn't do enough to prevent 9/11, Bush was making damn sure Iraq didn't follow up with their own version of 9/11...simple enough to understand?

2004-05-12 12:15:02 PM
http://www.ogrish.com has the video.

2004-05-12 12:15:07 PM
What are the clerics saying? Usually they are calling for beheading. Every time the mullahs take over, heads roll...literally.

"Hey, we feel really bad about those women being raped, but hey, they asked for it the way they were dressed, knowwhatI'msayin'?"

First thing that popped into my mind when reading some liberal Farkers' reactions to this article.

Oh, and itsfiveoclocksomewhere? This here link details some connections between Al Queda and Saddam. Notice a few things (there is a test being conducted here):

The date the article was written
What is alleged
Who Al Queda's sponsor is
What important information is revealed about the prescence of U.S. officials
why somebody said in the article, "Please understand the Kurds were for practice".
who is quoted as saying, "It is our estimate that Iraq will have an atomic bomb in three years."

I know, you won't like this link because it is NewsMax, but let's see if you can argue facts instead of ad hominem attacks.

You bastard. Yours is funnier than mine. And less partisan. *splutters*

2004-05-12 12:16:02 PM
if an occupying force landed on the beach head on cape cod, killed 10,000 civillians, forced my brother to have sex with a dead person while shoving a glow stick up his ass, i might be for some beheading too.

2004-05-12 12:16:06 PM

(Mods: This image was NOT deemed offensive prior to the war... hopefully thing have not changed too much.)

Anyone wondering why the Coalition believed Iraq had WMDs? Because the US sold them to Iraq in the first place. Besides, Saddam could have opened the doors to the UN and stayed in power; but noooooooo! He just had to play "My balls are bigger" and look at the results.

(To Habraham: A= I am not a Cunning Linguist. But it's 2am here and I'm too tired to put much effort into this. So sleeeeepy..... zzzzzzzz)

The very Boobies ATostig says "Yeah, that's some real contrition going on. Wonder how hard it was for them to stifle their smirks"

At least they were able to stifle their smirks unlike that dumbass army chick holding the prisoner on a dog leash or smirking and pointing at naked prisoners.....once again do as we say not as we do.

Sorry but it all makes me sick.
