I was stunned at how articulate he was in the interview in the article and loved the anecdotes/stories about Andre.

RIP, Animal

Rest in Peace, hairy manimal...
He's gone to that big ring in the sky...
I wonder if Macho Man will have to go at it with him all over again over Miss Elizabeth???
George had a HUGE crush on Elizabeth back in the day...anyone remember his feud with Savage?
Great shiat. Funny...

Also...Nicole Bass just died this week as well...
Her and Chyna will finally have that match against each other we never got to see.
Wrestlemania Beyond the Grave will be awesome this year...
Jimmy Snuka, Chyna, George Steele, and Nicole Bass joining in...
R.I.P. all of you.

I met him a bunch of times growing up in Wisconsin and going to either local wrestling or WWE house shows. Great guy. Time for WWE Death Pool to finish trifecta

He's going to feud with the Macho Man over Miss Elizabeth again!

/on the dead pool front, By all rights, Superstar Billy Graham should have been dead decades ago.

Fun fact, he used to teach high school part of the year while wrestling. When students would recognize him as George Steele he responded,  "Do you you really think I'm that ugly?"

Yeah, but Vader came out with the news he'd probably be dead within two years a few months ago.

Well, he lived a good life.  Would've died sooner had he taken steroids.

Not really.

The pre-Steroid era wrestlers all lived (or are living) pretty long lives. Lou Thesz wrestled until he was 74 and lived another decade after that. Verne Gagne was in his 90s. Even Terry Funk is in his 70s now.

It's once you hit the 1980s and they started shooting steroids like water and popping pills like candy that lifespans decreased dramatically.

Yes, I had a friend that took steroids and died at 51.  I have been paying attention to when some folks die and if they took steroids.  A lot have died in there lower 50's.  Most were bodybuilders / wrestlers.

Yeah, McMahon's already gotten his money's worth from them by then, so who cares? Really, there's more money to be made from their death than them just getting really old.

Gorilla(Referring to Koko B. Ware's bird, Frankie) "Those birds can live to be twenty-five or thirty years old."
Brain: "Not in my house."
Gorilla: "I'm sure..."
Brain: "If he was in my house he'd be in a shake 'n' bake bag; do you like your parrots original or extra crispy?"
Gorilla: "Will you stop?"
