The pitches he was throwing looked like he was lobbing them in there.  I was expecting a more dramatic WHOA moment from the batter if out of the blue Maddox zinged one in there on the outside corner at big league velocity.

Maddux couldn't do that when he was still active. And did he have to. You just saw him at 50 years old throwing off of flat ground, fooling the reigning MVP after giving him the location in advance. He did get in a couple of good pokes, though, like that one right up the box that caught the corner of the screen.

But still, that's got to be a treat for Bryant to take some swings against one of the all-time greats, especially one from his hometown that he looked up to as a kid.

Video was perfectly done. Maddux played his part perfectly. But the bit when Bryant asked Maddux if he still wanted the bat should be parked at Cooperstown right next to Abbott and Costello. That was unexpected and funny as shiat.
