As for treating copper toxicity, Kogan prescribed an infrared sauna.
"Patient is literally sweating out the toxins," she said.

I can't believe they gave this quack a medical license.

It is how it is said to work.  Presstitutes say that it is said that Trump paid russian hookers to sweat out toxins on each other in a motel room.

FTA: "After some investigation Dr. Kogan - an internist - said she found that copper is increasingly the culprit."
but wait, there's more: "More importantly - as she outlines in her book 'Diet Slave No More' - Kogan said it's important to eat foods that are balanced."

Fark should know better. Is subby trolling?

Love coconuts and avocados, can't stand Kale however it's made (raw, fried, baked, poached, whatever).  I like bitter, but Kale is beyond the pale.

Yeeeeaahhhh I'm gonna go with no on all of this. For over a year my breakfast has consisted of a shake made from avocado, chard, coconut milk, protein powder, and cucumber. I have a fave recipe I make every week that's a Thai inspired soup made with tons of kale, shrimp, chili, chicken broth coconut milk and celery. So for over a year my diet has been filled with this "bad" stuff and I've lost almost 50 pounds and haven't felt this great in 10 years.

So is that this kale-ation therapy I've heard of?

I know I won't change your mind, and there are plenty of other vegetables to eat, but I wilt it in a stock pot with coconut oil, garlic and onion and it doesn't have any bitterness in the end.

What a blue-green-flaming pile of utter bullshiat, from start to finish.

Nothing in that article is true, except the bits about copper being a nutrient and the dietary sources. But copper toxicity is not a thing unless you're drinking copper sulfate solution for some stupid reason likely on the advice of some other "expert".

This post-factual era of desperate news organizations just making shiat up for clicks and advertising revenue really is going to be the death of us all. "What brought about the end of this civilization?", future anthropologists will wonder. "Loss of water sources? Disease? Or a devastating flood of bullshiat?"

Sulfur really latches on to transition metal ions. If you're trying to get rid of them, I'd recommend garlic or onions or something similarly stinky.

Yeah.....  The sweating of the toxins might be the cause of our demise.  When we all start having toxins coming out of our pours, we are probably all doomed.

And let us also note that the "experts" in that article are selling things, complete with links to their websites so you can purchase. JFC.

Tried all sorts of stuff (the ex wanted to eat it and I was the cook).  Even with the bitterness removed it still tasted like shiat.

She loved it.  She loved it raw.  She loved it baked.  She loved it fried.  She got me to taste Kale chips at a restaurant once, I hated them.

I can think of maybe 1-3 things I hate to eat, and Kale is #1.  Can't think of the other 1-2 things I hate.

Thanks for the ideas. Wife and I started a diet this week and I've been looking for new ingredients for smoothies.

It's been a while since we've had Tom Ka soup, so I think I'll be making that for dinner tomorrow.

I don't get that. Are you not getting organic kale or growing it yourself?  Conventional kale is bitter from the soil, fertilizers, etc.

Garden of life meal replacement shakes. Cheapest and most effective way to eat healthy. I've lost 30 lbs in 2 months of minimal exercise. Ldl cholesterol dropped from 193 to 159 in only 2 months, no medicine.

I'm also finding myself a little dependent on them, when I don't have any available I'll go on a hunger binge until either I'm satisfied or buy more.

My guess? The shakes are filling in a defiency that my diet "misses"
