Can they at least be something fierce, like the Homicidal Hamsters?

You know who attended Amherst College?

Probably the motive behind suggesting the name. That makes it even better.

As an Amherst alumn, fark no to Hamsters. 1, it's an old time sling for slut. Pro tip if you watch Monty Python, your mother was a hamster = your mom's a slut, your father smelled of elderberries = your father's a drunk. Hamsters are notorious for promiscousness, elderberry wine was one of the cheapest alcohols in the Middle Ages. 2, in my head, the hamsters is a deragatory nickname for Hampshire College, one of the other 5 colleges. It's not Amherst.

Finally a different kind of mascot.  Besides, I can't stand hamsters.  They're not nearly as cuddly as they appear.  I've had better luck with gerbils.

Was it just so painfully obvious that nobody else ran with it?
