ya know, we might just catch a break on Trump's first year.  he's so incompetent and clueless that he might actually jam up the works.  if his cabinet works at cross purposes and the congressional republcians aren't clear on what trump's administration wants done....then there might be an opening here to exploit.

I think at best you might be able to try to keep them from doing something TOO stupid.

Trump is going into office with a 37% approval rating so far.

His approval figures have crashed from around 50% at election time, to the point where little more than the Republican hardcores like him.  All those swing voters that thought Trump would somehow save them have realized, even before inauguration day, that he's a con man and he didn't mean a damn thing he said on the campaign trail.

The whole county seems to finally be coming to the consensus that he's an idiot. . .right as he's about to be sworn in.

Good Jorb GOP, you've farked us up good.

You arrogant ass . . . you've killed US!

They are leaving the sinking ship before it even sets sail.

He's not sworn in for 9 more days and people are already bailing out on him.

The transition and inauguration are supposed to be the "Honeymoon" period for the new POTUS and the country, before things sour.

My point is she is so far up his ass that if she bails it means there is serious trouble. Of course she may just go down on him...with him, I mean with him.

I think it's the complete inability to control him.

I think that's why a lot of party representatives soured on Palin - she was difficult to control and educate. He's the same, only there's no controlling him or educating him whatsoever. Or keeping him from fighting with actresses and random Americans on Twitter.

I find it amusing (in a sad kind of way) that these republicans freaked out when Obama respectfully bowed to foreign leaders, claiming that it somehow made the US look bad, are totally okay with trump's shenanigans.

Look, Trump is going to put nation in a Constitutional Crisis pretty damn quickly.

He'll break a law or worse. Something so bad that the GOP and Corporate Media won't be able to ignore it. When he does, they'll want to investigate. He'll refuse to cooperate. He won't be in DC, will probably be in Florida or NY. He'll let Pence handle the day to day stuff. Remember, Trump's a boss not a leader.

So the investigation will turn up gold and they'll move to impeach him. He'll tell them where to go and take to media outlets to attack them (Donald? Defend? LOL). He'll stalemate the process and we'll have a Congress who is actively looking to prosecute and remove him and a President who refuses to go anywhere. Who will win?

Trump stole the base from them. He used his media savvy to yank the rug out from under them. He has the base, they have the party. They don't much like him and he doesn't give a f*ck. It will be really interesting to see what happens when he pisses off the base. Or the GOP does and demands he respond.

Its switching to "oh we know how horrible he is, but its the democrats fault for not winning"

This accounts for their frenetic pace, I think, trying to repeal Obamacare and do as much as possible quickly.  This runs alongside running his Cabinet picks simultaneously. They're like the Coyote running in midair desperately trying to pretend gravity won't soon take over.

They know their base loves Trump. They know Trump is a disgraceful mess who will screw things up for them majorly sooner rather than later.

A shiatshow is about to commence.

No, those ones are just supposed to be the ones that keep media attention so the rest of the GOP can go on with their policy of stealing from the poor to give to the rich during these distractions. The loudmouthed idiots aren't supposed to be the ones that end up in the actually powerful parts of the government.

Never undersstood the idea of wanting to grab a ber with the President.  If POTUS is coming to visit me, I will have something on hand that I consider worth sharing.  A casual drink just seems like a waste of time.  I would be more impressed with POTUS if there was some home brewing going on in the White House, whether that is beer or whiskey.

I can't believe some of you are still trying to deflect with "but Hillary".  She was a perfectly acceptable imperfect candidate, just like every other mainstream politician in the history of the republic.

This is on you, Trump voters, and those of you who sat home.  This extraordinary, next-level debacle is your doing.  Own it.
