This never happened when I was in school. Some people have all the luck!

They'll probably build a nice air conditioned one now...

My high school burned down once. They held classes at the "IX Center." It is a 1,000,000 Square Foot Expo Center. They set up cheap fabric partitions with no roof. It gave a whole new meaning to the word "Food Fight." We have an indoor amusement park that comes there each year. I guess the Lions, and Tigers roaring caused quite a stir during classes. I understand it was a pretty sureal experience. Turns out some kids had broken in, and somehow lit the school on fire. Ohh well. We did get some air conditioning out of it though.

It was the ghost of Kurt Cobain !
He was cooking his heroin in the science lab when he nodded out and knocked over the bunson burner.
It's true.

It's not my school; I don't care.

This happened to my elementary school when I was little. It really sucked! It was cool at first cuz we missed like 2 weeks of school but then we had to have 2 extra weeks at the end and had to go to a churce every day to learn. Good luck man...

It's happened to me before. Waaayyyy back in the 1979-80 school year, when I was in first grade, someone threw a bomb or something in one of the second-grade classrooms one night...couldn't go to school for a few days. To this day I don't know who did it (well WTF I was only 6!).
2002-01-06 05:20:43 PM
Yeah, it was my high skool... No school until at least Wednesday! WOOT!

A friend of mine once took a shiat on a hated teacher's desk, while we were at school.

Doesn't really have anything to do with the topic, I just thought I'd share.

Agnosto: The IX Center in question doesn't happen to be the one in Brookpark, is it? If so, I feel for you. It's good for auto shows and shiat like that, but school? Ouch.

What school of yours burnt down?

Same kinda thing happend at my school too. The only difference was that some "hero" stole a car. Basicaly he put a brick on the gas, and let it drive through the main entrance of the school. To sum up what happend the car came to an abrut end at the end of the hall, smashing into the wall and exploding. All the lockers and doors down the hall were ripped out from the car! Cops said the car was going over 120 Km/ph down the hall. Man that was the best 2 weeks off ever! Oh and nuff respect to the guy.

I always prayed this would happen to my school... Damn...

This happened to my high school when I was a senior. Some kids thought they could get rid of their school records by setting the administration wing of the school on fire. That didn't happen, but they did destroy the school's library. That meant none of us had to write senior research papers! I never have had a chance to thank those guys. BTW: (they got caught within about a week.)

Just curious, isn't Aberdeen where Kurt Cobain grew up?
2002-01-06 08:27:22 PM
Yeah, I live 3 blocks from the bridge he used to sleep under...

My school sucks and should be burnt down. Seriously - if I submitted pics of its interior to drew, he'd post it and label it asinine. My school really sucks.

Part of my school burnt when I was a in '93 or '92 or something? I dunno. Some tool piled the wrestling mats too high and the lights started them on fire. The fire was so hot that it melted trophies in the hallway. The school stank for weeks, it was horrible. We at least got to miss one day of school. That's it though. Fascists.

XPrawl- You dont happen to attend the 3-ring circus in Lebanon, PA would ya? That was one farked designer..fascination with cirles..I think so..

Froggy: It was in fact the IX center in Brookpark, OH. The high school was in North Olmsted. Many of the kids had IX High tee shirts made. I looked like fun.

Having spent a good portion of my youth driving QUICKLY through Aberdeen on the way out to the ocean I bet the fire was prolly the most entertaining thing to happen since they opened the new Dairy Queen. Now they'll have even more poorly educated, depressed hicks invading Seattle. Joy!!

Zeander Definitely. The one with.....wait. I think it's the telepoting device one, right?

man, that high school must have really sucked if kurt cobain went there. I think he was one of the major proponents of the "high school sucks" ethos

"Pretend I blew up all the schools."

I blame Christian Slater.

Kids these days are spoilt.

I blame Alice Cooper.

Schools were built properly in my day.

I blame this new punk rock music and electric microwaves.

Yes, Kurt Cobain did grow up in Aberdeen. I'm shocked to see anyone here who knew this! He and my older brother went to high school together but if I remember correctly, Kurt dropped out just prior to graduation. The memories this brought rushing back! Wheee!

Just a note for whoever burned it down. Please contact me :)
