From the HL I expected it to fly, or at least climb stairs. Meh .

My first impression as well.

After thinking about the concept for a minute, I'm pretty sure it'll be a soup sandwich. It looks like it will be top-heavy and prone to tipping over.

Sure... but it can descend stairs like a bullet.

The one in the video nearly tipped backwards.  It has "wheelie-wheels" that are supposed to prevent that.

This is beyond dorky.

They'll order a couple.

From the cow-tipper's perspective, they seem an attractive target.

Put some spikes on it and let them battle it out and I think that you'll have something.

Daleks are too short for the average adult to stand inside the shell.  IIRC, they're just barely over 5', which includes the ground clearance under the skirt.

Yeah, I would notice it was a fake Dalek right away too.

Yeah, subby should feel bad for even remotely associating it with the Segway. This has 3 things in common with the Segway; It has wheels, it has an electric motor, and you stand up to use it, that's it. The wheelie thing is a huge example of how far this is away from the Segway. Anyone can tip this over. You have to be George W Bush level of dumb to fall off of a Segway, though.

WHY??  I don't see how that is the best they could come up with.  I'm all for different, but that thing is just so ugly I can't imagine anyone using it more than a few times before the die of embarrassment.  Dorky is only charming for fleeting moments before it becomes truly tiresome.  At least make some variation without the hideous cage and maybe where you sit so you're not so top heavy.

Stop white-knighting the Segway.  It's not going to sleep with you.

Wow. That is stupid. Why not just ride around in the chair? If it has to be modded then mod the chair.

So they took a mobility scooter and removed the best part, the ability to sit down?

If I'm going to go through looking like some kind of asshole, I'm doing it from a sitting position.

Noisy street so all I could really make out was the photographer's clammy laugh.  If there were a need to seal the deal on making this turd appeal to absolutely no one, that did it.

For fark's sake, at least making go carts from lawnmower engines was kind of COOL.
