here we go

Isn't Wilson's 15 minutes of fame up?

He already pointed the finger (incorrectly) at Karl Rove the first time around. How many do-overs does this turkey get?

2004-04-30 08:59:41 AM
...aide pulls it?

2004-04-30 08:59:59 AM
It's a good thing that it's more important to investigate hummers in the oval office than outing our intelligence operatives. Isn't the whole 9/11 thing about how bad our intelligence is? Is it any wonder when the guy in charge is telling everyone who our agents are?

2004-04-30 09:00:11 AM
.. and/or Abrams, and/or Rove, and/or the Tooth Fairy ...

christ he's only managed to nail it down to 'the administration' in general, which is a no-brainer.

/obviously/ it was them - do you really need a name?

2004-04-30 09:00:57 AM

- He's got shifty eyes - Guilty !

2004-04-30 09:01:18 AM
What amazes me about this persistant story is that no one is pointing out the information about his wife was on a MidEast website that had a brief bio about him. The page refers to her as "Valerie Plame" and even mentions she works for the CIA.

Wouldn't it be nice if the Justice Department started pointing fingers instead?

2004-04-30 09:04:10 AM
Another day, another flamewar...

/regardless, something's fishy with this administration. Too many whistleblowers, too many books and accusations by former members of government to be just wished away

2004-04-30 09:05:07 AM
Actually, for all the whining Wilson's done, this is the best thing that has ever happened to him...he and his wife had a Vanity Fair writeup, he's selling a book, and there's talk of a movie about her career. He probably leaked her name himself.

2004-04-30 09:08:24 AM
He probably leaked her name himself.

And Jessica Lynch said, "No wait, I think the depot is on the left." :)

2004-04-30 09:10:07 AM
So according to the Code of Hammurabi, isn't somebody supposed to jump in the river?

Yes, thanks to Bush. Now she's known EVERYWHERE. She's lucky to be alive. Her life will be in danger for the rest of her life.

If that's how Bush treats his father's friends, just imagine what happens to his enemies. Or what WILL happen, once the Padilla decision is handed down.

2004-04-30 09:11:57 AM
mods delete alot more than i thought they did...

would they ever delete political posts they don't like?

2004-04-30 09:12:20 AM
Our generations own "tricky dicky" strike again.

Is it me or is Cheney the bastard son of the Cryptkeeper and Burgess Meredith's Penguin?

2004-04-30 09:12:44 AM
sunlion = bufoon...

yes thanks to bush...everything that happens bad in the world from this point on would be because of bush

forget congress the senate individual states et all

fookn morons without a cause

2004-04-30 09:15:14 AM
hmmm... treason. Yes, definitely treason. I suppose that's to be expected...

but fark it, rules are for poor people.

Abudiwa:

I've had it happen to me before.

2004-04-30 09:15:50 AM
quite despicable to have this officer identified publicly.

making it a political issue : quite despicable as well

2004-04-30 09:15:54 AM
i used to work with this guy at the law firm where he worked before he took this job. he's about 5 ft. tall and wore suspenders everyday, even casual friday. guilty!

2004-04-30 09:16:08 AM
Just amazing how many people will carry water for this administration no matter how egregious their offenses. Every thread about Bushco is laced with righties repeating blatent lies to cover for anything and everything they pull.

2004-04-30 09:16:28 AM
Slaruse, would you rephrase that in a way such that we might have some idea wtf you're talking about?

2004-04-30 09:16:50 AM
wow, in pretty early on this one....

regardless, it doesn't matter how many times he points fingers, it isn't like anyone will actually pay the price for breaking the law about this... if they haven't paid the price for breaking any other laws (this admin that is) then why would anybode expect that this time is going to be any different?

2004-04-30 09:18:25 AM
terra
it's the secrecy in which they do it that gets me.

don't worry, this'll prolly be deleted in no time.

"Probably leaked her name himself?" Damn, these un-American liberal pinkos are sneaky bastards... I suppose McCain leaked that story about his "black love child" in South Carolina last election to garner the "sympathy vote," right? I mean, he may be a Republican, but he did run against our George. How can we trust him?

2004-04-30 09:20:16 AM
It does not matter if a White House official compromised US security for political gain. All that matters is that Clinton got a BJ and lied about it.

If you dare focus on anything else, you are just a dam, stoopid liberal!

/end sarcasm

2004-04-30 09:20:36 AM
Should have been "....Fingers Cheney aid."

Funnier visual.

2004-04-30 09:20:40 AM
it's simple...alot of people act like bush makes everything happen just by saying "make it so". Some act as if there is no congress, no senate, no judicial process nothing...to hear it told on this and other boards we are living under a dictator...give me a break. You make not like his style or the way he runs this country, but he is the president and he was elected. The references etc to hitler is just appalling and simply misguided. I won't say it's because dems are upset with the election or this or that, but when a senator starts calling a VP a chickenhawk does that not ring a some alarms in your head that something is seriously fooked up on both sides of the aisle? Don't feed into the bs

His bio didn't say that she worked for the CIA. Her company, Brewster Jennings & Associates, was exposed as a CIA front after Novak's article.

In "The Politics of Truth," to be published Friday, Wilson says Libby is "quite possibly the person who exposed my wife's identity," according to The Washington Post, which obtained an early copy.

With an airtight case like that, Libby's toast.

2004-04-30 09:23:11 AM
Who ever exposed the Demoslut deserves the congressional medal of honor.

Too funny!

Do you see CIA any where on this page? All I see is:

He is married to the former Valerie Plame and has two sons and two daughters.

I think it was Colonel Mustard with a lead pipe in the Conservatory. Bet I'm just as correct as Mr. Wilson too.

Look kids, this guy has a hard on for Republicans and Bush in particular, and anything he can do or say to make them look bad, true or false, he'll toss it out there. He's part of the Dem Machine and perhaps thinks that his "loyalty" will net him or his wife a new job should Kerry get in office.

That being the case, he has no credibility. If he told me it was raining outside I peek out the door to make sure.

(Not really related, but at least it is Bush Bashing.....)

Bush Song Parody
(Sung to the tune of Beverly Hillbillies)

Come and listen to my story 'bout a boy named Bush.
His IQ was zero and his head was up his tush.
He drank like a fish while he drove a car about.
But that didn't matter 'cuz his daddy bailed him out.
DUI, that is.
Criminal record.
Cover-up.

Well, the first thing you know little Georgie goes to Yale.
He can't spell his name but they never let him fail.
He spends all his time hangin' out with student folk.
And that's when he learns how to snort a line of coke.
Blow, that is.
White gold.
Nose candy.

The next thing you know there's a war in Vietnam.
Kin folks say, "George, stay at home with Mom."
Let the common people get maimed and scarred.
We'll buy you up a spot in the Texas National Guard.
Cush, that is.
Country clubs.
Nose candy.

Twenty years later George gets a little bored.
He trades in the booze, says that Jesus is his Lord.
He said, "Now the White House is the place I wanna be."
So he called his daddy's friends and they called the GOP.
Gun owners, that is.
Falwell.
Jesse Helms.

Come November 7, the election ran late.
Kin folks said "Jeb, give the boy your state!"
"Don't let those colored folks get anywhere near polls."
So they put up barricades so they couldn't punch their holes.
Chads, that is. Duval County. Miami-Dade.
Before the votes were counted all the five
Supremes stepped in.
Told all the voters "Hey, we want our George to win."
"Stop counting votes!" was their solemn invocation.
And that's how little Georgie finally got his coronation.
Rigged, that is.
Illegitimate. No moral authority.
Y'all come vote now.
Ya hear?

Dorsai:

Fortunately, our legal system doesn't work like that. Imagine if it did: the police would only get one shot at naming a suspect.

Lots of folks have already tarred and feathered Wilson in the court of public opinion. Underneath the surface, though, the real investigation continues. And this is some serious stuff we're talking about, here. As Drudge would say, it is still, "Developing..."

2004-04-30 09:25:37 AM
It was a stupid thing to do no matter who was behind it. But it pales in comparison to the moronic actions of this administration. Well, moronic may not be the word. Underhanded? Immoral? Or just plain wrong.

2004-04-30 09:25:53 AM
I don't think anyone should take any political opinion espoused on Fark as the /actual/ political opinion of a registered voter, or even a human being most times.

Just as most of the 'Bush's fault crowd' are irrational at best, trolls on average - so are most of the 'pro-Bush'ies simply trolling against the grain.

the interweb is a great place for people to just say any old damn thing that pops into their head. No repurcussions, no responsibilities, no need to back it up, or have a clue about the issue at hand, relative pseudonymity - hey, why the fark not?

I just find it amusing how Bush has transformed from the dim-witted stooge of chicken-hawk puppeteers, to being their evil mastermind. Similarly, it amuses me how everyone opposed to Bush and co is instantly a non-patriot, birkenstock-wearing, let-the-terrorists-win, pillow-biter.

oh, what intelligent discussions we have.

2004-04-30 09:26:09 AM
Now please don't take this the wrong way. This is said out of genuine concern and not from a bullshiat "holier-than-thou" pedestal... but you guys in the US are imploding. Granted, we have plenty of our own problems up here in Canada, and are far from perfect, but you guys are really pissing each other off. What with all the guns down there, I'm afraid that you're turning into John Titor's wet dream, and are headed for a civil war.

US... get well soon

2004-04-30 09:26:13 AM
what does former Valerie Plame mean?

2004-04-30 09:28:28 AM
hdhale

Joseph Wilson caught the Bush Administration lying to the American people. The Niger document was bullshiat. You're the one who's playing politics.

what does former Valerie Plame mean?

That's how CIA agents are identified. Just kidding. It means it's her maiden name.

2004-04-30 09:30:10 AM
People, people, don't worry!

The white house spokesman has cleared all member of the white house in his inquiry...

Last October, White House spokesman Scott McClellan said his conversations with Rove, Libby and Abrams have ruled out their involvement.

duh... really?

2004-04-30 09:30:40 AM
...alot of people act like bush makes everything happen just by saying "make it so".

To test his authority, Bush is presently holding an American citizen who was "arrested" inside the USA. He's being held (assuming he's still alive) in unknown conditions, at an undisclosed location, with no plans for ever charging him with ANYTHING, no plans for trial, no plan to let his family have any contact with him, without access to an attorney... and the case is being heard by the Supreme Court this week.

This is without approval from the Senate or the House, and the Supreme Court is expected to rule in Bush's favor. If Bush is given the right to "vanish" anyone anytime, which is a near-certainty, then he has the most absolute authority ever held by a tyrant.

Yes, democrats are bad, but they've not even attempted anything on this scale since the days when they were little more than a front for the KKK (yes, at one time the Republican Party was what would now be considered extremist leftwing, while the dems were klan activists).

2004-04-30 09:31:44 AM
The electorate collectively yawns and forgets.

The US government goes downhill a bit more every day.
Unfortunately, it's a real Hobson's Choice with this coming election.
And if you vote for the third option, you are basically handing a vote to the incumbent.

2-party system sucks. We need a multitude of choices which keeps one party from hijacking the country for special interests.

Ever notice have lack of a party majority in any system is inherently more 'democratic' for the average citizen? The pols are so scared they will lose their job that they keep their eye on public opinion?

Any ideas what Scooter's Prison biatch nick name will be?
Skeeter may be too cutesy.
