NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

2002-01-04 04:07:54 PM
This is a really horrible way to get rid of John Hoke...

2002-01-04 04:08:22 PM
Is this where I get to say, "I submitted the ESPN link of this about an hour and a half ago"?

What is the proper Fark etiquette in this instance?

2002-01-04 04:09:52 PM
Steve Spurrier blows goats.

2002-01-04 04:09:57 PM
He had a cushy setup at Florida, so there must be quite an offer on the table from some unnamed party. Or maybe he demanded a jillion recounts of his team's win total and didn't like the results.

2002-01-04 04:10:45 PM
i want dungy to stay
brought tb from double digit losing seasons to playoffs, and the players like him too

2002-01-04 04:11:40 PM
I hope they don't get rid of Dungy for Spurrier. People seem to forget how crappy the Bucs were before he came around.

2002-01-04 04:11:57 PM
Hate Florida
Hate Florida State
Hate Miami
Hate that my submission of this link didn't make it.

2002-01-04 04:12:08 PM
I think the proper etiquette is to claim that your title was funnier as well as claim that you submitted it a long time ago. grin

2002-01-04 04:12:58 PM
This is the best news I've read this century. Bye bye Steve. Don't let the door hit you on your way out. Now the SEC can be dominated by another team that wears orange; BIG ORANGE. Go Vols!

2002-01-04 04:15:54 PM
First Dean Smith, and now this???

The horror...

2002-01-04 04:17:24 PM
Mac-my-day: Not gonna happen. Just being in Florida gives UF a huge advantage.

2002-01-04 04:18:35 PM
Maybe he'll come coach at Kentucky. That'd be cool

2002-01-04 04:20:49 PM
comparing Steve Spurrier to Dean Smith is sacraligious.....

2002-01-04 04:21:02 PM
My title for this submitted a long time ago was funnier than this!

Er, something like that...

Maybe Steve was caught cornholing Jeremy Foley's cat or something.
Gainesville sucks since The Covered Dish closed it's doors.

2002-01-04 04:21:14 PM
Spurrier was a pretty good ole ball coach.

Dang.

1/4: everything has changed

2002-01-04 04:21:14 PM
Thanks, Drew.

I never thought I'd hear Spurrier resign from Florida. Retire, yes; resign, no. He's got something else coming his way. My guess is either Tampa Bay or Jacksonville.

2002-01-04 04:21:20 PM
And much rejoicing was heard in Tennessee.

Steve's a class guy, he'll be missed.

2002-01-04 04:23:47 PM
Now if we can just get rid of that Bowden bastard in Florida, I might actually bother to watch football games of teams from The Sunshine State.

2002-01-04 04:29:11 PM

And STAY out!

2002-01-04 04:36:01 PM
And the hymns of Rocky Top can be heard for many miles from Knoxville, TN.

2002-01-04 04:38:34 PM
Say it aint so..Dungy still has some chops left..Informal poll for Bucs fans..Do we want to see him go to Minn.?..The Bucs have done done as well as they can ,and Dungy's still got a year left..C'mon folks, the season isn't over yet,and we're in the Playoffs..!!!

2002-01-04 04:41:09 PM
Mrflorida????? "Steve's a class guy, he'll be missed." Are you nucking futz? How can anyone use the words "class" and "steve" (as in Spurrier) in the same sentance?

WarmBeer: I agree - recruiting is a lot easier in FL - given the in-state talent. Take a look at UF's in-state players (90%+) - UT's is less than 65%. Ought to be a rule in the SEC that you must have at least 80% of your players from in state.

Oh yeah - while were making rules, let's put the players on the payroll so they don't have to live like paupers or take stuff under the table.....

2002-01-04 04:43:29 PM
1/4/02. Everything has changed.

Yep. We've lost our air of invulnerability.

I suppose we should examine why others hate us.
But I'd prefer we rally round the flag, find
a new leader, and reassert our dominance.

And if any Volunteer fans celebrate, we
bomb them to smithereens!

2002-01-04 04:45:14 PM
my headline WAS funnier! damn you.

Vox: rocky top, you'll always be...hell on earth to me...I hate rocky top...rocky top tennessee!

2002-01-04 04:46:04 PM
WHat do you think is really happening here? He makes about $2 Million a year. No one walks away from that when they feel they are at the top of their game. If he doesn't have anything else lined up, then he got caught doing something...

2002-01-04 04:46:22 PM
and oh great now I've got "rocky top" stuck in my head!

2002-01-04 04:47:37 PM
But speaking of Tennessee, do you know why UT fans wear orange?

It's so they can hunt, pick up trash, and go to the game without going home to change clothes.....

2002-01-04 04:48:08 PM
All you BIG ORANGE people can suck it. How do you even wear that bright color with out burning out your eyes? Where did you get your 1 lose from??? GO DAWGS.

least the other players like our quaterback....

2002-01-04 04:48:32 PM
Woohoo! The whole SEC just stood up and cheered!

2002-01-04 04:50:46 PM
College pissing contest to commence right.....NOW.

GO DAWGS!

2002-01-04 04:52:40 PM
it sucks ... to be ... a jawja bulldog!

GO HOGS GO!

2002-01-04 04:53:23 PM
I pray to Jebus - please don't let this crybaby Florida cracker take over my Bucs. Tony Dungy is the best thing that ever happened to this team - losing him would be bad enough, but replacing him with Spurrier would just kill me. Say it ain't so! Set up the Skyway watch, people are going to be jumping.

Yeah and - I submitted this long ago and my title was "Spurrier resigns from UF, will throw clipboards in NFL" - which is much funnier than this one. BAH!

2002-01-04 04:55:57 PM
Diesel: Not only did the UGA beat UT, UT then turns around and CHOKES at the GA Dome to LSU. (And Fulmer - what a Farking slob - how many times have you heard him blame their problems on the players - instead of coaching - hint: one time was on October 6th) GO DAWGS!

2002-01-04 04:58:43 PM
Florida ... reign ... over!

Dawgs beat UT two years in a row now, who let the DAWGS out?

Seriously though, UF has an incredible team with most players returning. I say give them 2 years for the program to crash and I dance a little jig, singing doo dah, doo dah ...

2002-01-04 05:00:37 PM
I guess it should read 1 regular season lose from. Forgot about about the SEC Championship!

2002-01-04 05:00:43 PM
I guess it should read 1 regular season lose from. Forgot all about the SEC Championship!

2002-01-04 05:01:48 PM
dungy and bucs = 0

2002-01-04 05:05:22 PM
spurrie = piece of shiat crybaby biatch

2002-01-04 05:06:31 PM
The Vikings coach just got outs'ed. Spurrier could do damage with that offense if Moss ever grew up and deflated that thick head.

2002-01-04 05:07:50 PM
do the Texans have a coach yet?

2002-01-04 05:19:19 PM
i hope spurrier doesnt go to TB. wans't he the QB during their ONLY winless season?

2002-01-04 05:19:39 PM
I think Spurrier is a whiney ego maniac as much as the next SEC fan...but come on give him some credit. He is an offensive genius. Dungy can't hold a candle to him. It is a shame that my Saints are gonna have to face him in the NFC-South.

2002-01-04 05:20:26 PM
noooooooooooo noooooooooooo nooooooooooooo
no Spurrier in Tampa Bay!!!!!

Saywhat - Set up the Skyway watch, people are going to be jumping.

Dude, I'm first in that line.. I just don't know if I can stay a Bucs fan with that no-good temper-tantrum-visor-flinging no-hand-shaking bastard at the helm.

2002-01-04 05:23:16 PM

"I'M GETTING MY RESUME READY!"

2002-01-04 05:25:32 PM
Senoric: Yes, Steve Spurrier was the QB for the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (their inaugural season) which went 0-14. They are the only team in NFL history to accomplish a win-less season.

2002-01-04 05:30:34 PM
New 27" tv: $250
New couch: $700
Watching Spurier get angry and slam his visor on the ground: PRICELESS !!!

2002-01-04 05:35:06 PM
nobody's pointed out how spurrier allowed rival U of Miami less than 24 hours in the sun before snatching the spotlight away from them. yep, that's one classy guy, alright...

2002-01-04 05:48:19 PM
Benway

you'd rather see some Miami thug playaz mugging on the Sports Update section of tonite's evening news?

2002-01-04 05:50:05 PM
hey control Miami shed that thug image like 3 yrs ago. And as for Steve... well he was just afraid to play UM next year! Go Canes !!
