He probably died of a severe farking hangover like I get when I partake of the Red Star.

Notice where the link's from.

Raise a Glass!!
2002-01-04 08:43:47 AM
its HEINEKEN freddiesmiles HEINEKEN - not Guinness but HEINEKEN - Heineken is not from Ireland at all freddie, Heineken is from HOLLAND freddiesmiles HOLLAND.
2002-01-04 08:46:48 AM
Yeah Cormee, but it affects the Irish more than anyone.
2002-01-04 08:49:44 AM
Mmmmm.. there's nothing like a 'I drank 12 heinekens last night' type of hangover.
2002-01-04 08:49:47 AM
Actually, he died from a combination of old age and pneumonia.

On a different note: Heineken is famous for it's green bottles, but in it's own native country, you can't get those green bottles, only brown.
2002-01-04 08:50:58 AM
That is indeed a real killer.
2002-01-04 08:51:31 AM
hardly grimcity - very few people drink it here
2002-01-04 08:53:56 AM
i do though :)
2002-01-04 09:01:52 AM
:( ...i didn't even know Freddy had been alive.
2002-01-04 09:02:35 AM
And an international holiday is announced for Heineken drinkers.
2002-01-04 09:03:43 AM
Heineken reaches the parts of dead bastards other beers cannot reach.
2002-01-04 09:07:59 AM
I will admit, my worst hangovers are Heineken hangovers. Yet I keep coming back, time and time again to that sweet, dew dripping off the side, ice cold green bottle.
2002-01-04 09:12:50 AM
The exports vaguely alright, but the normal heine is rough. Far too weak.

Give me a nice Kronenbourg or Grolsh any day.
2002-01-04 09:17:56 AM
Meadows_p normal Heineken is rough? What makes you say that?..
2002-01-04 09:18:10 AM
heineken beer shouldn't give hangovers. it's more like water than beer. If you ask a beer in Belgium, they will never give you a Heineken.

If you want to try a real beer, try to track down "Duvel" a belgian beer. You can drink heineken all night without getting drunk, but to drink more then 5 Duvels in one night takes a lot of practice, and makes you l33t. And heineken tastes bad.
2002-01-04 09:21:25 AM
Fb: Try a real Dutch beer "Grolsch" instead of that owl urine called Heineken. 28 billion cans of Heineken are his legacy.
I foresee a memorial can or bottle within a week, Dutchmen still keep up the trading spirt.

Appie: About time you should visit Holland once again. Nowadays even we can enjoy the green bottle, 'Longneck'. Sets you back at least €2.50 in the supermarket...
Go figure.

Anyways, can any of you Brits or Scotsmen explain to me why I just have paid 2.80 Pound Sterling for a bottle of Lager whilst a wisk of whisky is costing me the same amount???
2002-01-04 09:23:03 AM

Duvels are nothing but water. I can drink those all night long. If you order a glass of water in the Virgin Islands they will give you a Duvel. Everybody knows that real men drink latex paint to get drunk. It takes real practice to drink a half gallon of sears off white latex paint.

Boy, now that I drink something stronger than you, does that mean my weenie is bigger than yours?
2002-01-04 09:27:17 AM
Please check my profile, I am living in Rotterdam (Zuid-Holland).
But it is news to me that the green bottles are available in the Netherlands since I never drink (nor buy) the stuff.
2002-01-04 09:28:48 AM
Ooops, just checked my profile and that doesn't state Rotterdam as my location, just the Netherlands.
2002-01-04 09:28:56 AM
Appie: Right, got you confused with some one else..
Fb: It sure means that your liver is larger than Hedon's.

When I was in Amsterdam I toured the Heineken brewery for ONE gilder and was disappointed to discover that they only allow you FOUR glasses of free beer at the end. For this I had to endure some dutch guy with a frightening accent talk about shiny metal beer vats for 45 minutes.

I'm glad that pharker died.

How many guilders in a euro?
2002-01-04 09:34:16 AM

but it still means heikenen tastes bad

and it's impolite to tell the others about the size of my weenie. i thought this was something between us.

and stay away from my wife
2002-01-04 09:34:22 AM
I have yet to meet a beer I dont like, at least a little. Besides, after the first 6, they all pretty much taste the same.
2002-01-04 09:37:15 AM
My head is bowed to a man who brought me more fun (then later pain). I am not a big import drinker because I, well I'm cheap. I do know that like most things, the Heineken you buy in the states have less alcohol. When in BVI or Antigia, a Heineken will put hair on your chest. Yum Yum.
2002-01-04 09:37:49 AM
but without bragging or showing off
if you can i advise you to try "Duvel"
it's not something to drink every day but it's delicious.
2002-01-04 09:38:04 AM
Pff, there is no glory in pleasing people.

EasyMidget: For one (1) guilder (0.45 € cents) you got entertained for nearly one (1) hour and got 4 (four) glasses of beer.

Ungrateful person.
2002-01-04 09:39:09 AM

The Heinekens in the VI's and Caribbean are the real Heinekens. Not the doo-doo ones you get in the states.

Bugger_All: Well that's great, but a more savvy consumer like myself realizes that for a mere three (3) guilders (using your equation) I could buy one (1) 40 of Steel Reserve and puke on my shoes while stumbling around Amsterdam. Too bad they don't drink that schit out there.

I was under the impression that there would be a lap dance at the end of the Heineken brewery tour, that's why I was so bitter.
2002-01-04 09:45:29 AM
Has anyone who's ever been to Amsterdam almost been killed by a trolley while walking around stoned out of your gourd?

Those damn trolleys don't have a bell or anything and they don't have curbs to stop you from walking onto the tracks. Or then again, I was stoned out of my gourd.
2002-01-04 09:45:53 AM
I will think of him and all of you the next time I have that "nail through the forehead" hangover. I think my least favorite part is the short window of not-hungover time Heinies give you. Nothing like drinking at 5 and having the headache at 7.
2002-01-04 09:47:07 AM
Heineken tastes like skunked Schlitz.
2002-01-04 09:48:55 AM

Bottle size: 0,33
Alcohol by volume: 8,5
Style: Top-fermented golden ale
Beer Name Means: Duvel = Devil. The story is that the original brewer, after trying his new ale for the first time (in 1918) exaclaimed: a real devil
2002-01-04 09:50:31 AM
WarmBeer: isn't *all* Schlitz skunked?
2002-01-04 09:51:10 AM
For my money I always enjoyed Schmit's Gay
2002-01-04 09:51:44 AM
EasyMidget, you must have been totally stoned out of your whack, cause those trolleys have bells so loud they're able to resuscitate Freddy Heineken back to life.
2002-01-04 09:54:36 AM
Oh right... that's what those were. Bells... I thought little gnomes were banging pots and pans together. It was some pretty good cheeba.
2002-01-04 09:57:03 AM
Fb- right. Good times.

Funny side story. Went to St. Thomas for a few days. Got there and ordered a beer. $8.00 for one beer. Alot of money in 1986 for a poor 21 year old. Got the bright idea to walk to a store about a half mile away to buy beer and keep it in the room (save money right?). Once you leave the resort property, you are like a wounded zebra with lions all around you. Everyone was asking for money and four people tried to pick my pocket. I was only walking a half mile! Got to the store and the smell of weed was overpowering. Quickly got beer and chips and got back to the resort before they mugged me. When I opened the bag of chips, I noticed the good until date was already a year old and the beer cans had those pull and peel rings that I had not seen since the 60's in the states. Ate the chips and drank the beer then spent the rest of the week at the bar with my credit card. Had lots of fun though.
2002-01-04 09:58:24 AM
I never had bad Heineken hangovers, but Heineken farts are lethal, I tell ya.
2002-01-04 10:00:54 AM

Trust me, some things never change in the Virgin Islands.

Damn. It's Friday morning, Im at work, and im getting all thirsty, day dreaming about that first beer im gonna gulp down tonight.........
2002-01-04 10:14:32 AM
well since they put fermaldyhide in their beer, i'm guessing freddie's going to be put in a vat of it himself....unless that's a horrible urban myth, but it taste like it has fermaldyhide in it
2002-01-04 10:15:12 AM
Stop talking about beer already! I'm going through a self imposed de-tox for a month (I was starting to worry that I'm an alcoholic).

The weekends going to be the hardest...

Oh yeah...

Turkish: It's just too damn weak, I can't really enjoy a lager that's under 5%, tastes all watery.
